Superb experience. I have had a membership since last year but have only used their online resources. This was my first visit. The library has got a good collection of books and the staff is very supportive. This place has a conducive environment which perfectly fits university students. You can find lots of good books here. The library is inside Wellgate, on the top floor.

Clean, big selection of books for all ages, located in the town centre next to the wellgate shopping centre, it's staffed and has a selection of dvds to rent also. It seems to be cleaned in a regular basis due to covid 19 and has plastic sheets to protect you from speaking to staff. It's located on the third floor of the wellgate and can be accessed from inside the shopping centre or by the side entrance. It has wheelchair accessible parking and wheelchair accessible entrance and lift.

There is a constant weight banging noise coming from gym underneath. The libary is full with people who just dont respect those who are studying or trying to do something. The rooms are not ventilated, so it’s hard to sit there for a long time anyways. My guess is that they dont even clean the tables, by the looks of them. And don’t know why there is a singing practise in libary facility rooms (especially in a room where is no sound proof isolation) it is imposible to study, read or do anything because of that traveling sound.

A great visit, the staff are so friendly and helpful. I was visiting the family history section in the library for the first time which is an entirely separate section to the rest of the library. The lady at the family history desk during my visit was fantastic. She took time to help me by showing me the location of a number of resources which might assist me, and did so on several occasions since I had a number of queries. For family history research this library is an amazing and extensive resource, many books and maps and physical copies of booklets that are a mine of information. In addition to physical copies of documents, the library has free, yes I said FREE !! access to paid websites such as Ancestry, Find Your Past and the British Newspaper Index which cost an absolute fortune to use from home. The beauty of being able to access these from the library, is that you can assess whether a personal subscription to one of these services is worthwhile over a period of time rather than only having a free week and then you have to decide.I have always liked this library, and have never been disappointed by the vast range of facilities on offer, which also include free computer access, toilet facilities and a water fountain.

Lovely library. Much larger selection of books compare to other smaller libraries around the city. Friendly and helpful staff. Lots of seating, workplaces and computers scattered around. Nice to just have a wander around all the different parts. Quiet, comfortable environment.

Best library in Scotland. The folk moaning obviously aren't aware that libraries need to adapt to all of the recent technological changes. Libraries are not what they used to be, they have to move forward with the times, otherwise they'd be obsolete. It's an incredible library and the staff do their absolute best to give the customer the best possible experience. 10/10! Keep on supporting your libraries!
