Do not use this company!! If I could rate it a 0 I would. Think it’s ok to take money out of your bank without confirmation. Come to pick the car up early and apparently it’s my fault I didn’t get to fill the tank up when I didn’t get chance and had to cancel a hospital appointment due to the inconvenience. No sympathy at all from any of the staff. Only bothered about taking your money.

We had hire booked for 3pm Wednesday. Arrived to pick up at 3:20pm, bit of a wait as only 2 people serving, but even then after getting rental forms sorted, had to sit and wait about half an hour until our car was actually available just before 4pm.Had also booked (through separate site) to return 3pm Saturday, only to find out car had to be returned by 1pm Saturday as closes then, not open Sunday (issue with site we booked through not making clear... but lack of options frustrating). First care hire EVER that didn't have out of hours return option, so if anything goes wrong you would have to hire car until Monday and make sure you are there to return, obviously not flexible with all things that could go wrong especially if you had a Sunday flight you had to be on.Tried to return 12:30pm on Saturday, but lack of parking available on site, no clear return parking slots. Circled a few times to find a tight park.One person serving (not her fault, company needs to hire more), and busy time so had to wait half an hour in queue to be served as busy time before they close.Actual people serving were polite, and car was ok, but i think this is a higher issue with how this branch is managed, they need more staff and better management to avoid unnecessary queueing and better out of hours policy.Would not hire from here again

Only one member of staff processing rentals so very slow going; arrived one hour ahead of my rental start only to be told that I have to wait for at least 45 minutes anyway as the car isn't prepared yet, and this was at open of business for the day.Oh, and I originally booked for a petrol rental and was instead provided a full electric which I was only told about on a phone call 5 minutes before I arrived. Thank goodness I didn't prepay for fuel options beforehand.And the app didn't work when they asked to do online check-in, not that it would've sped up the process anyway.Also, be aware and get your Driving License Check Code ready before you arrive for pick-up. I haven't had to deal with that for any other rental company, but for Europcar they are requiring it.

Really awful experience. Got there to be told that the van we had hired was ready. Then 10 minutes later told it had no MOT.Waited for another van to be ready. To discover it had damage all over it which wasn’t recorded on my invoice. The roof was also leaking meaning anything we put in the van will get wet. Nobody came out to the vehicle with us and just told us to film it. Went back in and asked if there was another van to be told it would be over an hour.I asked if a specific van was available which I could see outside - was told ‘it was probably booked out’ and they didn’t check.Offered me £10 back for the inconvenience which is an insult - and which I didn’t get back!

Don’t even waste your time coming here, booked all online for a van at half 8 went to pick it up only to be told I failed checks , even though I was happily paying with my money? Rang Arnold Clark and got a van within an hour no problems at all and basically the same price honestly don’t waste your time try Arnold Clark much better service

Never again! Poor customer service the van was a death trap. Wipers needed changing and the tracking was out! Had to wait 45-50 mins for the van to be ready I arrived on time 11am and the van was still filthy and not checked. Use enterprise, thrifty or some dodgy dealer down a back street as you’d still get a better deal and customer service.

Arrived at 8.20am for an 8.30am booking of a small van. An hour later, after literally everyone else had come and gone, our van finally appeared. Still had the spare wheel in the back taking up valuable room where it should have been fitted in the allocated space underneath. Booked a vehicle without a bulkhead so it would have more space if needed by shifting front passenger seat; different van arrived and had a bulkhead making this impossible. Vehicle fairly well battered, which at least makes it harder for them to shaft us when we hand it back in.

Hired a car 20th October 2023 after trying to make our way home from a work trip to sheffield. With a stressful day and all trains being cancelled because of the storm bebet, we had no way of getting home. We ended up managing to hire a car and received great service from Joanne, she found a car for us and requested we received it as soon as possible because we were keen to get going with a 4 hour drive home. She was super friendly and helpful. Another guy at the branch also made us tea and coffee whilst we waited for the car to be cleaned and released out to us. Luckily we will be able to claim the money back from work for hire but i did find £300 for 24 hours expensive although i do understand there was a charge to drop off somewhere else. Thank u for helping 4 damsels in distress

Joanne and the rest of the team always make my check out and in really easy. They are always so friendly and helpful. The cars I’ve rented have always been good and I’ve always been reassured that if I ever experienced a problem I could call for help.
