Arrived here this afternoon to take my mum & dad for a nice coffee & meal. Driven quite far out of our way to come here as it looked lovely. However, on arriving it was absolutely freezing inside. The Christmas shop was so built up you could barely get a buggy through let alone walk hand in hand with your child. Don't get me wrong wrong displays were lovely but it just made the experience very claustrophobic. As we made it through to the café the place was really untidy. Food on the floor, unclean tables, a number of tables unserviced & everyone eas dat there in their coats. It was uncomfortably cold. You don't expect to come somewhere like this for coffee & food & sit there eating it with your coat on. Even the poor people trying to enjoy their afternoon tea looked cold sat in there coats. It was enough to turn us around immediately & go to a nearby pub where it was toasty warm with a view (The Fishers's Pond). So we didn't taste the food but everything else appeared poor we didn't risk it.I understand it is winter but it was actually 7°c today which I'd much warmer than yesterday so you would expect some.kind of heating to be installed for the winter months to make diners experience a comfortable one.q

Came here for some lunch with my boyfriend. We both ordered the chicken burger which upon arrival looked lovely but unfortunately it was very dry with a lack of sauce. We weren’t given any cutlery and also when we asked for salt, pepper and mayonnaise to my surprise they came back over with sachets of it all. I’d expect better quality from a place like this but unfortunately it didn’t live up to the standards.

I’ve been here 3 times; the first time was the best experience for me. The food was fab, great atmosphere and a lovely shop. The two other times were not so good. Today my food was greasy and I had brown lettuce which considered the price one does not expect that at all. As a whole, we enjoy visiting mainly for the atmosphere and because of the bird aviary which overlooks the dining area. We didn’t have any cake today but the display looked amazing!

Very nice ambience, incredibly nice waitress, couldn't have been any more helpful & polite. The only let down was my lunch. The Melting Leek Macaroni had far too much mustard in it!!! There was no mention of mustard in the ingredients. There should have been a herb crust but there was none & the mustard totally overpowered the dish. I wasn't able to eat much of it unfortunately. But on a positive the cake I had for dessert was absolutely scrumptious.

Stunning location with so much potential i think that's why people get so frustrated because they can see what it could be. When i arrived no one was at the entrance to show us to a table which would be a nice touch to make the experience more personal, possibly a manager so that they can see who's coming in as there is no line of site to the entrance from the counter/kitchen. Sat at a table which was sticky and had crumbs all over it no one came over to offer to wipe it down and no cutlery was brought over. Had a smoothie which was lovely and a chicken burger which arrived quickly when served we weren't offered sauces and had to ask for cutlery. Burger was very dry and overcooked with a very light smearing of harissa Mayo, chips where nice though. Sauces arrived we got 4 sachets of Mayo between us when you're charging nearly £20 a head 2 sachets doesn't really cut it especially when the food is so dry perhaps some sauce bottles, salt and pepper grinders and a pot for cutlery and napkins placed on the tables and also water jugs with glasses would nice. No one came to ask us if everything was okay even though there seemed to be over 10 people working with only about 5 tables in. Sorry for all the negativity just frustrating to see such an amazing venue produce such poor quality service.

Gorgeously decorated interior and friendly staff. The raspberry and chocolate cake was super delicious with a gorgeous fudgy texture, the tangy raspberry splashes throughout were divine! There was a tiny piece of coffee cake left which was perfect for my smaller appetite. The lady on the till offered it to me at a reduced cost which I was so pleased about. The coffee was so delicious and beautifully presented. We didn't have a table number when we ordered so said we would wait and carry our own cake and coffee to a table outside, a friendly waiter said he'd find us anyway and brought it out which was a lovely touch from him!Unfortunately the wasps were out in force today which made sitting in the garden not quite as relaxing as I can imagine it could be. The staff were on top of clearing tables to help with this problem too which was amazing to see!Would be better to have availability of menus a little clearer when arriving.

Stunning little restaurant with amazing food. So much choice going to have to come back and try the rest of it. Would highly recommend to anyone in the area. Food was quick, hot well presented and tasted amazing!

We had a lovely lunch here with the family, my only complaint is there should be a choice of bread option for toasties. I had bacon brie and cranberry, which was delicious but had to have it on ciabata bread, which is a harder tougher bread. Alot of people opt for brown bread now, when eating bread apart from that it was lovely

Food was lovely, although the satay chicken poke bowl was a little dry. Service was slow, but the staff were reasonably friendly.
