Glenariffe Harbour

Red bay pier is used by fishermen as far back as I remember. The salmon nets are checked from here and pre Antrim coast this was the main supply route Murphy's coal yard is here and it's beside the famous red arch and watched down on by red bay castle a place of historical interest. The caves near by were once a school in s time when teaching Catholicism and gaelic was banned this area is worth exploring but park on the pier as the main road is a busy stretch not suited to parking.

Cold for winter fishing. A bit promising, but might be best done during the summer.

Great place for peaceful fishing. Nothing big or out of the ordinary on our visit. Will be back
