Lively atmosphere with a strong hint of regular users. Never been in before, but would be happy to visit again. More of a man's pub. Late night visit so didn't try any food.

We were driving through Uppermill and stopped for a look around. We listened to the Brass band playing outside the Legion, popped into a few of the shops, bought some wares and on route back to the car park stepped into the Hare & Hounds. It was quieter than the other pubs we had passed, the combination of old look furniture and new look paint work still leaves the impression with a pleasant nostalgic feel to the past. The two female bar staff were lovely and friendly, as were the locals we spoke to. Very pleased we dropped in on a whim, I hasten to add the driver had a lime and soda. Look forward to dropping by again.

Mixed grill wasn't available , ordered Sirloin steak as an alternative. Asked for medium rare .The steak had been cooked to my request red on the inside of etc , however it was dry and very very tough .I can only presume it had been over defrosted in the microwave.No one came to ask if my meal was ok ,I'd tried and failed to attract the waitress attention. As my wife had her meal to ,I reluctantly ate what I could of the meal . When the waitress came to remove our plates , it was obvious my unfinished steak was totally unsatisfactory . Which I also explained to her why . I got a sorry ,but no reduction or anything by way of an apology.Sorry but very very poor !

Beers okay, atmosphere is great. One of the bar staff just roll thier eyes when kindly asking for a drink. Just rude.

Top outside garden with bar quick service. Not too pricey. Telly's in the garden for footy. Fab location. Nice barstaff

Was asked for id which I don’t mind being on the younger side. But was publicly humiliated as the bar staff laughed at me I asked for a beer because I look under age and then got the other customers to all laugh as well. Was very rude. No need for this when I am paying for their service
