Helpful staff. A&E would get very busy, so we need to have little patience there. I found the food kiosks are not accepting cards sometimes, so its better to bring some cash in hand if you are going to A&E. I hope this issue will be fixed.

My husband and I would like to give our extreme thanks to the 3 lovely nurses who helped him in the blood test department today, Monday 2nd October at approximately 4pm. There had been no internal communication that he was being sent for blood tests, and despite the department being due to close for the day, he was made welcome, made a cup of tea and the nurses stayed after shift and saw him. Amazing. Thank you so much. It is greatly appreciated.

My sister had a serious accident and we have to say the treatment she received from the ambulance crew, a passing paramedic and the helicopter crew was amazing. She was admitted to the critical care unit at Northern General hospital Sheffield on September 28 in room 17 where she was cared for with professionalism and dedicated compassion.Huge Thank you to all who were involved and to the NHS for everything in her last days.

It's a hospital it does what hospitals do it is one of the larger ones in South Yorkshire. As with all hospitals I've visited parking is an issue as most were built when there were less cars about. I have visited several departments and the staff have always been amazing it's a place I only go when necessary but it is much appreciated

My son had a broken leg and was taken to A&E in Northern General Hospital. He had his treatment there and recovered quickly. We will always be thankful to the wonderful patient care provided by the brilliant staff there.

I would give this 0 stars if I could!! I went into A&E yesterday 23rd of September 2023 as I was having severe cramps in my stomach, back legs and hips. I was five weeks pregnant I went and checked in at 3:30 pm to be told to do urine sample which I did then I had to wait nine hours to be seen by a doctor just for them to do a pregnancy test for them to say that I am no longer pregnant, and I’m having a miscarriage. This was their exact words I was also harassed by a woman who was in the hospital, who kept on coming over to me. And wouldn’t leave me alone. She also tried to sit on my partners knee. While he was trying to comfort me, while I was in pain. She then proceeded to jump into peoples cars while security was there. And security refused to get. The awful woman out of other peoples cars because apparently he wasn’t allowed to touch her not to mention, she also took sp*ce into the hospital with her and shouting has anyone got a rizla she was also offering people a cup of whiskey she kept on swearing at everyone and wouldn’t leave anyone alone, after being told numerous of times, she then proceeded to harass me, even more to the point I lost my temper and told her to move herself security came and did something about it this hospital is absolutely disgusting I would avoid at all costs

I had a metal aorta valve operation here. I was treated with respect and kindness. My total stay was about one week. One year later, I have returned to good health and I am grateful to this hospital for their expert surgery and care. By the way, the hospital food was pretty good. On the downside, around the Cardiology ward there was very little mobile phone signal. Many patients could not get a call our of their phones. Also the WiFi is non-existent in many wards.

Not impressed with this hospital so dirty some rubbish still on the floor 3 days in a row, bins overflowing, too many patients to the ward and mixed ward, very bad Internet, phone service and broken TV screen. A very different experience from 12 years ago when I last visited the hospital I don't like to say this because the NHS staff are wonderful people. I went for a scan the nurse he's was so rude and shape. He needs to. Repect people more and not be rude he didn't like me because he couldn't flob me off. Even other nurse thought he was shape. Needs to learn. To show more compassion and not be so nasty. And igent about things I wasn't rude to him
