Afonso is a fantastic mechanic and will deliver an excellent, friendly service for any type of bike. He fitted the Di2 to my top level road bike and would also happily service basic bikes and kids bikes.

He goes out of his way to help with any bike problem , his knowledge and expertise on bikes is second to none . He is very honest and works extremely hard and always keeps you in the loop of what needs to be done. He will only replace something if it is necessary and charges the minimum . thank you Afonso for getting my bike Mallorca 312 ready !

Afonso provides a fantastic service. I took my bike to him thinking that I needed a new bottom bracket, he checked the bike out and identified that all of the hubs were running smoothly but that there was a set up problem. He recommended a basic service which corrected the set up and removed brake squeaking. The bike is now running super smooth and stealthy silent. A really honest appraisal and a nice guy to do business with!

Afonso is genuinely the most helpful and knowledgeable bike specialist I've encountered. Always willing to offer advice and answer any questions. My eMTB was serviced so well and looked like new! Highly recommend giving him a shout and you'll receive top quality service.

Afonso always gives excellent service to his clients. Recently replaced the drive train and brake pads on my Trek. It rides and changes gear perfectly. Highly recommend Afonso for all cycle maintenance.

Even though I live in North London, I always make the drive to Farnham in order to ensure the best care for my bikes. Afonso's skill, attention to detail, professionalism and customer service, make him way better than any of the big name cycle workshops in the south! He's also refreshingly honest, assessing each bike thoroughly on arrival and then only charging for work that needs doing and the parts that genuinely need replacing. All this means that your bike gets exactly what it needs without costing you a penny more than it should. I can't recommend Afonso and his Bicycle Cave highly enough!

I took my bike to Afonso because it was skipping gears, making a racket and generally needed some TLC. He check the bike over and then clearly and thoroughly explained what needed doing, showing me every part of where I had worn out various components.He then explained to me how best to get more life out my my components going forwards, to to measure chain stretch properly and when to change the chain to ensure the cassette and chainrings had better life.He completely stripped and serviced the bike as well as installed the new components (which I purchased) and the bike is now running like new.He's done a great job on it and at a very reasonable price too, in a very decent timescale, so I am hugely appreciative and will be taking my gravel bike down to him for an overhaul in the near future. :-)Highly recommended!

Top class customer service. My bike is as good as it was when it was brand new and it’s been 10 years since it’s had a service. I can’t recommend Afonso highly enough!
