Hallen Reflexology

I was new to reflexology during my recent pregnancy, when someone on my birth team recommended Gill. I had sharp pain in a region which would be a bit intimate for a physiotherapist... so I thought I would give reflexology a try. I can only say good things: Gill was professional and had tremendous knowledge of the body, she has a beautiful, calming studio, and most importantly, she had the ability to relieve localized pain. I went regularly during the second half of my pregnancy and am convinced that this ritual of holistic care contributed to my ability to safely birth my baby at home. (I was even listening to the music she played at her practice while I was in labour due to its association to my relaxation!) While my pregnancy-related pain is now gone, I have continued to visit Hallen Reflexology (with my baby) and treasure the opportunity to both rest physically and rest in the knowledge that I am looking after my body and energy.

I have had a few reflexology appointments with Gill and I have loved every minute of each. Gill is so warm and friendly and immediately puts you at ease. The setting is absolutely gorgeous. It’s so relaxing lying lying in a comfy chair under a big window. And the reflexology is divine. I really struggle to relax and switch off, but I am able to do so with ease during my appointments with Gill. It is so interesting - Gill has identified areas that needed work - all linked to current or old chronic injuries that I have. My 7 year old son has also had a session with Gill. He loved it so much that now I need to give him a foot massage every night! (Gill gave me some tips for what I could do at home). We have his next appointment booked in already! I cannot recommend Gill highly enough. She is incredible! Thank you.

I absolutely love Gill’s approach to reflexology. I’ve been for both personal sessions and also recently to her baby/mum course with our 10 month old. Gill has a fantastic course for wee ones which explained simple, everyday reflexology moves which helped both me and my baby relax and sleep! It was amazing value for money and gave me skills as a mum which I will use for years to come. Gills studio is a beautiful, calm environment which is both inspiring and relaxing. All in all I would thoroughly recommend Gill’s classes/ sessions and approach - a “must visit self care practitioner” in Fife.

Having had reflexology and loved it while pregnant, I took my newborn to Gill for a mother and baby session. She did baby reflexology on my Son first, showing me how to do it, and he was so lovely and relaxed after that I managed to have a whole treatment with him asleep on my chest. It was honestly just bliss after a stressful and sleepless few weeks. the set up for baby reflexology was lovely and comfy and Gill was so gentle and attuned to how baby was finding the treatment, moving on if he didn’t like something so much and never pushing anything. It was lovely to see which moves he so obviously enjoyed. Gill provided great diagrams to help me remember the routine and we still do this 2 months down the line. It’s a nice relaxing way to bond and I felt it did help with his tummy issues. I would highly recommend when pregnant also. Gill came to my house in the late stage but her stufio is so calming and I loved going there for some deep relaxation. I felt my pelvic girdle pain much improved and even listened to the same music during my labour as it helped me feel so relaxed. Thanks Gill!

Highly recommend Hallen Reflexology, very relaxing and targets spots that ache or niggle. I find it fascinating and very beneficial. Gill is very understanding and knowledgeable.
