That was hands down the worst Sunday dinner I've had in my life.Roast potatoes where rubbery on the outside, rock hard veg, you'd have to get your jaw insured before you chomp down on the beef.One if the worst meals I've ever had and I had a cable tie in my veg! Glad I never damaged my tooth biting into it! I ate it as was hungry and had already paid but oh how disappointing was that! My child makes better food in school and brings it home.I'd be embarrassed serving food like this it's nasty! Definitely wont be a returning customer and won't have a positive thing to say about this place.Shocking food

Well the food was average. I had the carvery. The meat was fine but the veg was awful. The green beans were not cooked properly and were hard, as was the broccoli. The waiter Brian was lovely though. Very polite and helpful

Not only is this building itself absolutely stunning but the staff (polite and helpful) and the food is simply perfect.On this day I had a carvery, all the meats looked much better than most places; and the sides selection was more than standard too.Everything ran smoothly and staff where very helpful indeed, seating was swift and without problems.The interior of the build is a perfect addition to having your meal and drinks, giving a nice warm and homely ambience.Family's , solo and couples , everyone is welcome and the facilities are also very good.A park outside for children, lots of space outside for dog walking and lots of outdoor seating.Over all a lovely experience, if your after food out and about , don't hesitate to choose this location, you won't be disappointed.

Yesterday we arranged a surprise birthday party for my Mum. The staff at the hall were extremely helpful, kind and pleasant. We were a big group of 22 including 5 small children. We were accommodated in the library room which meant we didn’t have to worry about disturbing other diners and this worked really well. We were provided with 2 high chairs and our vastly differing food orders came promptly and were lovely. It was great that you allowed us to bring a homemade birthday cake and you even provided us with a knife and boxes to take the remaining cake away. Thank you so much to all the staff. I don’t get names but everyone we met yesterday was great. We may have found our go to place for future family parties. X

This place is fantastic always treat my dad who comes here daily really good. My dad also has a walking stick and they accommodate for him in every way. Fantastick service cannot do enough and the food is really fresh and good value. Thank you.

Christmas lunch. Booked early for 10. Managers and Assistant Managers very helpful in booking. Actual day—service quite poor. Carvery group had finished their meal before others were even served. Mostly positive reviews about food. Cheese pie 1*~pastry half an inch thick, couldn’t chew it. Filling, potato cubes covered in orange processed cheese—awful!No Christmas music?? Staff not dressed in Christmas hats, jumpers etc. completely flat. Restaurant half empty, so staff not rushing round and over busy where they couldn’t serve us efficiently.One great idea—one member had to cancel, instead of keeping £5 deposit, it was donated to charity. Disappointing.

Thursday evening at 7ish served by Jan who was helpful and nice & chatty Nice location, situated by Clarke Gardens. Party of 4, we arrived a little early but plenty of free tables.Food (3 carvery and 1 farmhouse fish supper) was very good, as were the huge slices of cake to round things off. Bill totalled around £80, good value.

What’s not to love about Allerton Hall, the hall itself is amazing, like stepping back in time, beautiful, relaxing and even though we had a toddler with us so that we were placed in the family room, it was still calming as there were no distractions for the kids. Indoor play areas cause chaos.The food (our group opted for carvery and also individual dishes off the menu) was delicious. The carvery had lots of vegetables to choose from and all of it cooked well.The staff were all so friendly, making sure at all times that we were comfortable and didn’t want for anything, even chatting to our toddler to make her feel welcome too. She loved it and can’t wait to go back again. Same as us, we’ll be back!!
