⛪✨ @sheffieldcathedral illuminated - Starlight by @luxmuralis ✨⛪This year's light show at Sheffield Cathedral was more spectacular than ever before with mind boggling projection displays and countless beautiful Christmas trees decorated by community groups.A truly wonderful festive experience for all ages and one we hope to see return every year. I also loved that there was mulled wine available, and enjoyed a browse of the lovely gift shop.As someone who is in no way religious, I'm happy to see the cathedral welcoming non religious events all year round. It's an impressive events space and hosts everything from art exhibitions and classical music concerts to silent discos.This is my fave event here every year. STUNNING ARCHITECTURE!I appreciated it more after learning about the history of this site.I often walk past here and never knew that it was open 365 days a year, has a cute little café inside and guided tours.This the oldest building in Sheffield.The people of Sheffield have been worshiping here since the year 1200.

Beautiful comforting atmosphere, and the way it is built creates incredible acoustics of course. When they have musicians practicing I always feel lucky to be there. Rev Richard bumped into me and my friend here and was so friendly, prayed for our late Mums...a healing moment I'm grateful for.

Must admit, I had never associated Sheffield with a cathedral, so it was a first and was very impressive. In good condition, with interesting stained glass, a temporary sculpture exhibition and very well-executed Remembrance Day displays. An oasis of calm in the busy city centre.

I went to see the illustration and it was brilliant. I've been to see it a few times now and each time it's been spectacular. Even without the illustrations, the cathedral is a beautiful place to visit.

Lovely Cathedral in centre on Sheffield. Free to get in and has ramps and lifts for wheelchair users. Beautiful tranquil place with lovely stained glass windows.

Went to the illumination show in 2022. It was beautiful & well-organised. My only issue was the sound level of the music - which was way too high & my partner's hearing aids kept cutting out because of it. However, the church is beautiful & the illuminations quite stunning.

Visited to see the Craft, Vintage and Makers market at the weekend. However, having never been inside the cathedral before, I was amazed at the architecture and decoration of this wonderful building. Although the craft event was good, I found myself exploring the building and taking in the atmosphere. Well worth a visit as there is so much to observe and appreciate.

Happy early birthday! It was a fantastic night!First time experiencing such classical music played by an actual string quartet! Bucket list experience for sure! Loved it!
