Apart from swimming in the summer, which is not allowed. There’s not much to do. Maybe a place to buy a coffee at a sandwich won’t hurt, if the residents agree..It’s a nice place to take a stroll thought.

Shadwell Basin Outdoor Activity Centre
Shadwell Basin is one of my favourite place to go and relax. It is located in the residential area in Shadwell not far from the tube station. The basin is surrounded by picturesque buildings and an old red bridge that makes the landscape more attractive. People go there to walk, run and make exercice. I personally love taking pictures and admiring the different types of birds that live in the lake. Furthermore, there are lovely paths along the river from where you can enjoy a panoramic view of London. I would definitely recommend a visit in this unique place full of charm.

Beautiful location, with lots of great viewing points of London. A great spot to pop up a private picnic. Or if you’re into that kinda thing, you can grab a kayak or a little sailing and sail around the basin, and the adjacent bodies of water.Personally this is a favourite location of mine, a peaceful and tranquil little island in the middle of the city.There are lots of local bars and restaurants in the area, with Wapping a short Santander bike ride away...Please don’t make this one commercial, I like the peace and quiet.
