nicely located, the midges almost ate us, I did not like the toilets and showers - no privacy, the walls in the whole toilets are maybe 3/4 of their normal height, showers and toilets dated and dirty, was ok for one night but I wouldn't consider come back there again unfortunately.

We’ve just been in Scotland doing the NC500 and this was by far the best site we used. Chris is the nicest guy and the bothy is the perfect chill out spot when you need a break from your van / tent. Plus the showers are so ace! Will definitely stay again!

The photo's give an unrealistic view of the accommodation.Taken in the cottage, which is for rent at £50 a night. The common aeria for campers, is different.Common Kitchen without stove, no washing machine, 4 of 10.Toilets and showers in poor condition, 4 of 10.Hot water is hot, 8 of 10.No glass container, you are supposed to take it back with you, 0 of 10.The communal aerea in the house is a bit depressing, 4 of 10.The surrounding aerea is very beautiful, and extremely quit, 9 of 10.But that has nothing to do with the campground, it is nature as it is.Overall cleanliness, 4 of 10.Pricing : 3 of 10. To expensive for what it offers.

Remote and peaceful location. We booked on the basis that it was ‘close’ to Ullapool as we planned to catch the ferry to Stornaway. The facilities are basic, but clean and the views and atmosphere more than made up for it. The Bothay is available to use when not exclusively booked.

Great if you like off Grid remoteness and lots of midges and I mean lots....the site itself is very well kept and the showers and toilets are nice enough for how far away it is from anything resembling civilization...take all provisions with you for food and drink as the nearest shops are a good half hour away or more...the bothy is great and has a wood burner and sofas to chill out and relax and read a book...the loch at the bottom of the trail is amazing and we paddle boarded on if for hours one day very calm and very large. No chemical toilet waste disposal or gray waste...does have fresh water although it's coloured from the natural peat in the soil.Washing up facilities and amazing views.

Host was a great help after we encountered a puncture on the way to the site. Provided us with local mechanics who could help and use of the bothy if we had to leave the car and equipment in the garage overnight. The campsite itself is basic but has everything you need and the location is stunning and only a short walk from little Loch Broom and there is a lovely waterfall you can see from the camp. Sadly the weather turned when we arrived but didn't dampen our visit any but could imagine the views of the hills and surroundings on a clear day would be exquisite. Very remote and quiet which I prefer so would definitely come back.

Great campsite, wonderfully remote. Don't expect glamping, this is for campers who like being outdoors. Showers are great, hot and powerful and basic kitchen facilities. Fire pit at each pitch and site nicely maintained.

Amazing location, beautiful unspoilt scenery, good facilities - ample supply of hot water, and good amount for the small number of pitches (10). There are some lovely walks around - thoroughly recommend the walk from the campsite to Scoraig! Loved our time here!

Owner Chris was more than accommodating when I arrived without booking. The place is really hidden away, it's a fair drive up a long winding farm track, ideal if you want some peace and quiet. The setting and views are amazing. The place is well looked after. The bothy and amenities are in good shape and are really handy with a kitchen too. I highly recommend if you are used to camping and want an idyllic location.
