Nest is a very sweet knitting shop in Crouch End. They have a wide selection of yarns, mostly in natural fibres. They include some hard-to-find but very affordable brands. The whole shop is beautifully laid out and the yarn is interspersed with lovely gift items, as well as notions and haberdashery. Every Monday afternoon they have a knitting group with tea and cake served. They also offer evening knitting classes.

Sadly this shop no longer sells knitting yarn. It just seems to hold children’s sewing classes. It’s not for knitters!

My nine year old daughter has been having sewing lessons with Gen for many years and it is the highlight of her week. Nest is a great shop and workshop space - Gen and her team are incredibly knowledgable and very good at teaching kids. So much so that my six year old daughter was desperate to have her birthday party at Nest, which she did last weekend, with nine friends, and they all went home with a beautiful cushion they had each made. Highly recommended!!

This is no longer a shop but a brilliant sewing school. Don’t come to buy wool but look at their lovely website for more information about lessons.

Nice and small yarn shop. You'll get excellent, competent and warm service. There's also room for sitting down and knitting. I'd go here all the time if I lived closer.
