The Restaurant at The Fitzwilliam Hotel
The service was absolutely exceptional. They were extremely attentive, but not overly so. Their timing was perfect and they demonstrated that they cared a lot about our experience. They were especially attentive to food allergies in our party and I would say went above and beyond to accommodate and ensure that we were well taken care of.The food was good, we really enjoyed our meal and dessert. I would say that the food was above average for the fine dining that we have experienced in Ireland, but was not anything that I will be raving about for any period of time. Satisfying and tasty. We also ate here for breakfast as a part of our stay at the hotel. The breakfast was fine, better than some of the hotels we have stayed in, but also a bit hit and miss on some of the items. The service for breakfast was clearly on a different level from the evening dining experience, it wasn't bad, but it was not quite the same exceptional experience we had at night. They were very accommodating again for food allergies and were able to make several of the dishes to work around our needs, which was fantastic.

Lovely hotel in a great location. Friendly and helpful reception and concierge. We stayed in the executive king and found this to be well Laid out, clean and well maintained, with good facilities and a turn down service … brilliantBreakfast was ok , nothing special , the full cooked breakfast was just ok, and the buffet part pretty the same, although the honeycomb was a good touch

Surprisingly poor tasting food from this 5-star hotel restaurant. Would expect much better. Much better is available in lots of restaurants in Belfast for the same price or less. Potato and leek soup tasted awful, was watery and did not appear to have any potato in it. Chunky chips were like oven chips you'd make at home. The steaks were ordered medium but came out medium/rare and medium/well-done. The wine was nice - the only thing not made in house by Fitzwilliam chefs. Disappointed.

Went for an early dinner, after theatre matinee and availed of their pre theatre set menu. Great value for money. The restaurant is a long wide room which has been cleverly split into three sections so if quiet doesn't seem empty and if busy doesn't seem over crowded. Food was excellent and the wine list was reasonably priced with something for all budgets. Service was very good. Would recommend and will return to sample full menu.

Our servers were very nice and polite, however the wait time for drinks and food was quite a while. We arrived at 2030, and didn't leave for two hours. I ordered the roast beef with mashed potatoes, and when the food arrived, the meat was dry, and the potatoes were lukewarm at best. Frankly, the microwavable roast beef we can buy at grocery stores in the US is better than what I had here. My mother's fish was dry, my father's chicken was dry, and my brothers lamb was dry and overcooked for his taste. His roast potatoes needed more flavor and we're hot, whereas my mashed potatoes had flavor but were lukewarm. The bread plate was the best part of the meal (in my opinion). I thought Michelin stars were supposed to be the best, but this was not.

The food was massively overpriced compared to local restaurants such as la villa italia. The pink salmon was terrible value at £28. Two tiny little slivers with very little else. It’s a great hotel but their restaurant for dinner is certainly far from great.

We went for a dessert when the restaurant was about to close. It was empty and we enjoyed a lot the loneliness. The food is expensive for the quality offered. Nevertheless it is good.We ordered two margaritas and a panacotta and another dessert. We enjoyed the time in the restaurant

Went for meal before going to the theatre. Had a long day and was looking forward to the meal. Think I left hungrier to then when I arrived. Miniscule portions on massive plates which makes it look even worse. Had to get some thing else to eat before the theatre else were.

Food was good , we were really the only ones around at 730 on a Friday night - it felt like the staff kind of forgot about us and I had to go get someone to get my bill after sitting a while with empty glasses. I’m staying at the hotel and thought I would try it out ; but with so many options so close by here ; the service needs to be a bit better .

If this is a Michelin starred restaurant, then I don't want to eat at another. The service was slooooowww. The food was mediocre at best. My chicken was dry. My wife's trout was dry. My daughter's beef tasted like the microwaveable roast beef we get at the grocery in the states. My son's lamb was tepid. Not worth the time nor the money. I wish I had gone for fish n chips.
