It's the best place to have breakfast, brunch or lunch. The food served is always fresh and tasty.The atmosphere is chill with a excellent view. Dog friendly.I recommend it to my friends and all of them love it

My sister and my Dad took me for lunch as I was visiting from Essex. First time coming into the cafe and was really impressed. Lovely atmosphere, lovely, friendly service and the food is so good! I had the Asian beef toastie. It was absolutely delicious. Definitely recommend this place to visit.

Booked for lunch with a friend today.. it was fairly busy on arrival at 12.30.We were greeted quickly by a friendly guy and given the option of where to sit, we chose outside because it was such a lovely day.Menus arrived swiftly and we were left a short while to make our choices.I noted how pleasantly clean everywhere was, as soon as a table left, it was cleared and cleaned, properly, with disposable paper and a cleaning agent.. nice to see they take cleanliness seriously!I chose an iced oat latte and orso feta salad, both delicious and nicely presented. My friend was very happy with her chicken & bacon salad, although wished for perhaps a more interesting, maybe local lemonade.Service was prompt and extremely friendly, nothing too much trouble.How could it be improved:Our only wish was that the background sound could have been the chatter of customers rather than high energy music which is played inside and out. They kindly turned it down at our request.It’s such a lovely spot next to the lake that (for us) music is not really a necessity.Really nice spot, great food thoughtfully presented and really personal, friendly service.We are planning our next visit!!

I wish it was 5 stars..... it could be better than it is. A mixed review.We were promptly seated without a booking after not being able to get through on the phone. Drinks order was promptly taken and then......50 minutes later it turned up. Including a simple table water request as it was a roasting hot day. During this time we saw a few people come and sit down outside on there own accord and get service before us. We think you are supposed to wait to be seated but the signage could be clearer if you approach from the lake side amd i think this was messing up the system. No service staff thought to check as to why we were seated at an empty table for a long time, our waiter kept changing which could of been part of the problem.The positive are the food is a step up. Really well presented and tasty. Which is why I wish the service was better. And the facility is modern clean and in a lovely setting.When the food did come out we had no cutlery. And then the cutlery that came was dirty. No one checked on the meal or cleared the table and we went in to pay and leave. This was close to a 3 star review but will give the benefit of the doubt that it was just a bad day amd the staff were not un pleasant.A friend of the group says 'great food but we were let down by the service'

This café is really lovely. The food is amazing and tastes incredible, the bacon bagel was juicy and the full English breakfast was really tasty. We didn’t have to wait long for our food especially when it was super busy inside. I recommend booking before you come here, as we had to sit on the outside turrets with thankfully a lovely heated lamp, our blankets which her nicely provided, thank you! Staff are polite and very caring, I highly recommend this place will be coming back soon.

I have been recommended this place by a few people for a while but never made it here until yesterday. I came here for brunch on my birthday - it met my expectations and lived up to the recommendations. Really nice food and atmosphere, will be coming back very soon!

Really lovely little cafe first time going but really lovely place and really good food. Big breakfast and eggs benedict are definitely our favourites with a smoothie, especially sitting outside on the bench in the sun ! Will definitely be coming back ! PS you do have to book your tables !

The Lakehouse Cafe
I held a small ‘Baby Sprinkle’ at The Lakehouse on Sunday morning and wanted to share how lovely our experience was. The staff went above and beyond to serve us quickly and get our brunch order through before the cut off, and all with a smile on their faces! The food and drinks were lovely, portion sizes were great!5* from me and will be returning to try the lunch menu and drag brunch soon.
