Excellent, we found this place a few months ago and this is our second visit and will be many more to come. Proper pub grub. You have to wait for the food to be cooked but in my mind that's perfect as it means cooked not microwaved. Reasonably priced too.

I called in here for Sunday lunch with my sister whilst house viewing around the corner. Arriving just after noon the place had a steady flow of customers but wasn’t busy. By the time we left, it was really starting to fill upSunday lunch is your pretty standard carvery with various meats (beef, ham, turkey & pork I think) and all the usual sides including roast potatoes, Yorkshire puds, stuffing, veggies and nice thick gravyThere is nothing fancy here just good food and plenty of it. Service was friendly and on the ball and the restaurant room was clean, bright and spaciousWe left feeling very full and satisfied. Just what you need on a Sunday lunchtime

Just had a meal at the Blacksmiths and would 100% recommend. Delicious food, piping hot and fresh. Really well presented and generous portions. To be honest better quality, value for money and service than alot of expensive country food destination pubs I have ate at. Friendly staff and locals, a great atmosphere! Will definitely be returning!
