The Preston
We love dining at The Preston. The food is very good and reasonably priced. We also get good sized portions and the staff are always very efficient and friendly. We particularly like the atmosphere as it is frequented by regulars who are usually families, couples and groups of friends. It's also nice to have such an array of different seating arrangements ranging from cosy tables for 2 in the corner by the fireside or large round tables for larger groups. We also appreciate that it's a dog friendly pub.

I booked a table for 2 both myself and friend are disabled . He is wheelchair bound. So on arriving I parked in a disabled bay and displayed my Blue badge went in made my booking had a non alcoholic drink and left. Today 11/12/23 I received a £100 parking fine for parking on the pubs premises. I didn't see a sign warning of parking charges. The pub trade is in a dire state I suggest M+B you are not helping yourselves. I will be going up today to cancel my booking!

Hi, We are a choir group Including myself there were 31 people. This was a bit of a panic booking as my two more local venues, one would not not accommodate more than 25 people and the other did not want to disturb the existing quiz night. the initial phone call to the staff at the Preston was warm, enthusiastic and totally accommodating..wonderful!! On the night the food was delivered with speed and efficiently and hot, well not the prawn cocktail!!. The main courses were delicious and plentiful and the turkey was succulent and delicious. The desserts were also lovely and the Apple and black currant crumble was just perfect. The staff were absolutely wonderful and i really do mean wonderful. Any tiny glitches were dealt with immediately and with kindness. I had two people who did have allergies but this was also met with kindness and patience and concern. Afterwards as a choir we love to sing and even though i say so myself we are not bad at all. The remainder of the other guests in the pub seemed quite happy to turn there chairs and listen. All in all a truly super evening. The staff and chefs were just quite simply perfect (if they were having a melt down we would never have known).We were so impressed we will be booking our Christmas Party there next year!!Thank you to all the staff, you made the evening perfect !!!Deborah O'Sullivan

Place has a nice atmosphere of the old pub . Staff is friendly and polite. Prices are affordable. One minus for me is that is not very clean.

It was great. Food was good with fair portion and price. Service was quick and kind (also counting they were really busy) well done to all the staff. Atmosphere was nice and cheerful. Really enjoyed it

Fantastic experience. The food was great and the service even better. There are interesting board games and our server Dre was friendly, very helpful and courteous. We had some issues downloading and using the app to order but it was sorted out.Even though it was our first time, I'm certain we will be definitely coming backWould recommend the coconut rum drink, it was lovely.

I never used to drink here when I lived in London but passed it a few times. Took 26 years but finally made a visit and hope it's not going to be so long before I come here again.Great range of drinks and very friendly service from the staff.Love the little shelters in the front and beer garden so you can still sit outside no matter what the weather.

My favourite pub BY FAR! I’m here all the time, there’s a good amount of indoor and outdoor seating. Food is really great (especially as a vegetarian). Loads of drink options, friendly staff, great environment. Not a bad thing to say!Oven-baked mushrooms and home-fried nachos are unbeatable!

Visited the Preston for Sunday roast, wasn't too keen on the vegan Wellington the rest of the food was lovely. The dessert was delicious! I had Apple crumble pie and custard.
