Carter Hughes Davies
We used Carter Hughes Davies for two large projects. The first was the renovation of a grade 2 listed former church into a café, art gallery, office and event space. The second was our home which involved a large extension and renovation of a Victorian property.Paul Davies was the architect on both projects, his designs were sympathetic to the history of the buildings but lent them a touch of modernity, he deftly managed the planning process, handled the tender for building contractors and helped us select good quality companies with a good reputations at a fair price. We also used him to manage the projects, keeping them on track and dealing with any issue that arose. We would thoroughly recommend Carter Hughes Davies.

We found Carter Hughes Davies offer a very friendly, comprehensive and personal service. Paul developed the design of our house from concept drawings, interpreting our design intent artistically and sympathetically to meet our needs and blend in the requirements of a conservation area. The design is eco-friendly and super insulated and incorporates phase change materials, heat recovery ventilation, triple glazing and solar protection to provide an extremely comfortable ambiance throughout the house. Paul actively implemented the final design with the authorities and steered through the tender process and build phase through to completion to deliver our wonderful home.
