Martins Holiday Village

Martin was extremely friendly and forthcoming when initially interested in booking our holiday even upgrade offers and special discounted drinks packages etc. We were enquiring and not looking to book but ended up doing so due to the what we thought was genuine service and £75 pp deposit. As we had never cruised before and my partner has medical back conditions upon the next couple of days review the boat size and contacting doctor we realised she would be unable to sadly go on a cruise. We contacted Martin days after the booking to be told there was no “cooling off period” and any refund was down to cruise people and nothing to do with him. We then had weeks of going back and forth ignored emails and phone calls. Provided medical note but was told we would be u able to get refund and that they would give us a cruise credit though (which obviously of no use to us). Anyway in the end for sake of £150 we just asked to cancel everything and got confirmation after weeks of hassle a few months ago. Though now have received a email requesting payment of almost 5000 pounds within the next few days. Am almost lost for words with not just Martin but also the the cruise company. We never even received a correct invoice for our initial deposit yet money was kept and things weren’t even cancelled. AVOID.

We’ve used Martin several times for booking our cruises, the service has been fantastic and nothing is ever too much bother! Recently we chose Martin to book a large group cruise with around 40 cabins due to the great service he’s offered in the past. He was excellent to deal with every step of the way and helped us ensure it was a very successful group cruise. We recommend Martin to all our friends as we know they’ll get great service!

Just reserved my first cruise with Martin and will gladly do business with him again! After always booking direct, thinking that that is the best deal, I stand humbly corrected.. Martin was able to negotiate a price for a three night cruise with premium drinks package that CANNOT be beat! Although apprehensive about the cabin that would be assigned to me, Martin came through once again with a fantastic option which I’d never have been able to book if I’d tried to do it on my own.
