We went here for lunch. The decor was amazing and the place was very clean.Staff were very friendly and efficient.The food was amazing. Fresh and tasty and the puddings were delicious.We will definitely be going again.

We have been to this The Botanist twice now, both times thoroughly underwhelming.Your experience starts at the door, where the door man will do everything in his power to turn you away and make you feel small, whether you have a reservation or not.Then you trek up two, sometimes four flights of steep dark stairs.You will be welcomed by a surly hostess, who won't utter single word to you until she's found your name on her computer.Next you'll be marched through a loud, dark, sticky resistant to a table. You drinks older will be taken, then without fail you will be told they don't have whatever food it was you wanted.Then you get to sit there, drink your very over priced drink and stare at the ceiling, which despite its description of being a secret garden and the place being called The Botanist"

Busy lunch. Fairly slow service.. Food is tasty but basic and at the top end for what you are getting. Got squeeze in a the middle of a small area. Super packed but loads of other space free. Nice style and feel but just lack of care for detail and experience and pricey for the quality/style of the food

The food was delicious and the atmosphere was surprisingly child friendly considering there's a bar. They provide high chairs which is great. There was a group of 5 of us with kids and they accommodated some very nice seating for us.I had the vegan noodle salad and it was the bomb! def recommend although the portion size was a bit small.Staff were lovely and friendly, would definantly recommend for people who don't mind spending a bit extra and love a beautiful atmospheric evening. I think its a bit too expense to go frequently though. I've recommended friends and will continue to do so.

The food was lovely, the ambience great - the musician on a Sunday is a nice touch! Sadly the service is terrible though :( One of our party couldn’t find the restaurant , I asked the waitress what the name of the road was… she didn’t know! I ordered a drink which they had sold out of, she told me they had another flavour which I agreed to, but then she returned to say they didn’t have that either!! So finally I got my drink on third try, however we discovered when the bill came that ALL were on there, despite not actually having the drinks! We had all wished to take advantage of the 2 course Sunday lunch deal - but again when the bill came we had been charged separately for the courses, making it more expensive!When the waitress brought the bill over at the end, she hovered over us with the card machine and we felt pressured to pay asap so didn’t get chance to check the bill properly! So it wasn’t until afterwards we noticed these issues, which then made it very difficult to rectify for both us and them. If they had just left us for a moment to review it, we could have sorted it simply! It could be such a lovely place but sadly, the service needs to be stepped up considerably….

Overall the food was not bad but my first two choices were not available which was disappointing. We waited nearly an hour for our food. Staff were very good, polite and doing their best at a busy time. I would say give it a go, this may have been a one-of. I hope so because the menu choices are pretty good……if they have them.

The food was nice, we ate from the Christmas set menu and the choices were a bit strange and the kebab was very pale looking but was quite tasty regardless! The service was good, though they did lose a drink order but it was quickly rectified. Staff were friendly and our arrival drinks came out in good time, so did the food! The only issue was paying at the end, the waitress didn’t know the price and undercharged everyone so had to go back round and take more money. We then were told we were £50 under, which was clearly incorrect as we each added up what we had. This was a long process so was a bit frustrating when we were ready to leave! They waived it in the end, though I believe it was more their error not ours as we payed what we were asked to pay.

Really liked it here inside the decor is quirky but cool.Staff were really good made you feel very welcome. I would definitely go again if I'm in the area.

It was my and my partners first time in this place. We went there for my birthday meal. We really wanted to try hanging kebabs which were really nice. We were really please with starters as well. The service was great and fast. The waitresses were making sure that we are happy with everything and if we would like any more drinks. When we got to dessert , unfortunately we didn't like it. Overall I would go there again for drinks starters and main food. I would happy to recommend this place to someone else.
