Standard of service is poor. Had bad experience with my mower said it couldn't be repaired. Got it done elsewhere no trouble at all. Bought a new chainsaw a month ago. Was set up wrong for me then had to take it back twice for another problem and wouldn't repair under it the warranty.Won't be going back and won't be recommending to anyone

Unfortunately the standard of service at Sussex Mowers has dropped considerably since the new people took over. They’re nice enough but…I sent my Hayter Harrier 43 there for a service and attention to the drive belts.When it came back the drive belts only engaged at one point on the drive speed lever. I put up with that but now they’ve stopped engaging altogether.I did suggest that the belts be replaced and would have been quite happy to pay for that but they did not change them. I suspect that all they did was tinker with the cable adjusters, which I’d already done.I had also paid for collection and delivery but as the service was a bit slow and the grass was growing fast I collected it but was not offered a refund on the delivery charge.Many weeks later they contacted me to ask if I had paid the £190 bill, which I had on collection.I’ll not throw good money after bad. Another local Mower company are collecting my mower this morning.

Very poor service. Failed to collect mower twice. Had to call to find out when they would collect.. Failed to provide Aspen fluid as requested. Mower returned eventually still dirty despite invoice stating it had been cleaned. Did provide a discount but invoice incorrect. Delivery driver got my name wrong & had no idea what repair had been carried out. Very disappointing.

Put my mower in for a service and a cable replacement. Mower is now running poorly and cable was not replaced. Took it back and was told they would order the cable and would be in touch once it arrived, told it would take a while due to supply issues. It’s been 3 weeks now, I’ve tried to phone a few times and have been fobbed off by someone who sounds about 12. I have now ordered the cable myself (took 2 days to arrive, so absolute nonsense about supply issues). Totally unprofessional, clueless chancers. Save yourself some bother and go somewhere else.

I cannot recommend Lawrence and his team highly enough. Yes they’re busy and yes they can be a little longer than you might sometimes be accustomed to but the job they do is first class and well worth the wait.Brilliant!
