Trattoria 51
Lovely restaurant, staff very friendly and helpful. Restaurant in lovely older building. Great choices on menu and food was very good. Fresh pasta selection is great to see and tasted great. Service was fast, and staff came round several times to check all was okay. Would visit again.

Disappointing food service was polite but staff were not very friendly or knowledgeable poor atmosphereThe bruschetta was bland, the pasta dishes were made with low quality ingredients and lacked authenticity. The tiramisu looked and tasted like it had been made a few days ago. They had no idea how to serve vecchia romana asked if I wanted ice and thought I was mad when I asked for it warm. Quite expensive too would not go back.

Enjoyed a lovely meal here. Service was friendly and efficient. We had calamari and haloumi to start which was delicious, then we both had a pasta dish which were generous portions, desert was very lovely too. We will return next time we are in Liverpool.

A brilliant place to eat, with accommodating staff. Me and my partner went just before closing time and waited around 15 mins for a takeaway pizza.. 2 of which were made vegan friendly.

This is a hidden gem of a place. Lovely old building. Fab cheese and wine tasting. Wine guy explained every wine to us. Very knowledgeable. Very generous cheese board. Enjoyed so much stayed for a bottle of wine that we tasted. Fab experience and highly recommend.

The perfect spot for lunch with friends or an evening eating tasty Italian food. Dined here a couple of times and highly recommend the pizzas! Overall this place is great value for money. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is relaxing and the staff are very friendly. Such a great place to eat when in Liverpool city centre.

Amazing Italian food! We have the focaccia nduja & fresh burrata as an appetizer, pizza 51 and seafood linguine. The pizza was amazing!!! I would return for the pizza alone, although it was all very delicious and well seasoned!

If you're a pizza lover, skip this one!I've heard lots of good things about this place but I was bitterly disappointed - my £13 meat feast arrived looking like something my niece made in food tech in school. The base tasted like the cheap Iceland pizzas, with a kind of soggy biscuity texture. Genuinely the worst pizza I've ever had in a restaurant, and yet more expensive than most of the city's best pizza places. The Nduja pizza my friend ordered was even worse too - it had 3 little dabs of the stuff on one side of the pizza and that was it! Couldn't believe how stingy the toppings were.Drinks were reasonably priced and the cocktails were lovely, and looking all the glowing reviews I'm wondering if I just went on an off night? It feels like it's supposed to be a casual, family-friendly Italian-ish place, so I wasn't expecting authenticity or anything too fancy, but for the prices they're charging they need to up their game.
