We tried the shuffleboard and then the axe throwing.Really smooth and easy to book and to get to each one. Staff really friendly.Loved the axe-throwing, we had George who was lovely, told us how to throw properly and made it fun!Would come back again and recommend. Thank you!

My friends and I went on Friday for a birthday to do two escape rooms. The escape rooms were excellent but unfortunately one of the bartenders was very rude and created a bad atmosphere for the group saying she wasn’t going to serve us because she’d had an argument with one member of our group around four years ago - the manager called Natalie was particularly rude to our group because of this and it was disappointing to see personal matters interfere with the staffs ability to remain professional and due to the amount of money we had spent on the escape rooms we would’ve expected them to behave a bit more maturely. I tried to complain but the matter wasn’t taken seriously at all. Luckily our group still had a great night and didn’t let the terrible service impact our fun. The blonde girl that ran our escape rooms was excellent and very professional it was just a shame to have a small minority of the staff really let down what seems to be a great team!

Axe throwing was lots of fun. Sebastian, our host, fit himself in with our group at ease and managed to keep up with our dry sense of humour, friendly rivalry and us basically sucking at axe throwing! Will 100% be back to try out more games

Never been before, and it was a while since I've been out as work had been nonstop, so this was a planned welcome break that didn't disappoint.Axe throwing was first - Ask to get Seb, with tips and great banter, definitely helped with this experience to another level. Shuffleboard - I never thought I'd enjoy as much as I did, but the layout is much better than others I've seen and the quality of it is 100%. Pool - exactly what you need to chill for a bit, the pockets are bigger than use pool tables, you get used to that, but this was time to get the drinks in and food was quality. Darts - this was class, various different games if needed.This is exactly what Edinburgh needs either to kick-start a day out or finish the night as it has everything you need for a great experience. While I was there I spoke to some guys on a day out, and spoke to some women who were having an after work event, and both groups were enjoying themselves like myself - I'll be back, its recommended.

Fab experience axe throwing for my mums 60th! We had such a great time. Hannah was great at explaining everything and encouraging us as we’d never done it before. Will definitely be back again!

Boom is one of the most welcoming and fun bars to visit in in Edinburgh! Reece and Maya were fantastic hosts and Thomas was a lovely bartender! A very well located spot in town, with many games and drinks to go around. Will be visiting again next time I’m in edinburgh!

Price: ££Staff: 10/10Atmosphere: 10/10Fun: 10/10Absolutely recommend this place to anyone.We visited to do the escape room and the axe throwing and had such a fun time!First off, our escape room. Hosted by Leah, who was super lovely, immersed us in our feudal Japanese story before letting us into our room. The tasks were fun, clever and entertaining. I would definitely recommend to anyone who loves Japanese stuff or just a good escape room! We managed to finish in 28:27 which I believe put us at the top of the leaderboard! Bonus!Next up, we had our axe throwing. Prior to our event, we were given wristbands so bar staff knew not to serve us alcohol before the throwing. Safety first!The host made sure we knew the correct way to throw the axes and made sure we were having fun. I’m quite short and was worried that I’d not be able to reach but the axes are pretty small and light and easy to throw!Lastly, the bar staff were super friendly and the drinks reasonably well priced. Plenty of space to sit whilst waiting for your event or in between events or just for a rest.Love the atmosphere of the whole place and can’t wait to visit again, hopefully to do another escape room or try out some other things like the shuffleboard or crazy golf!
