First visit to The Bike Shop. Refurbishing a bike for my teenage grandson and needed some parts. Staff member was very helpful and took time to explain certain things to me. Shop stocked with class looking bikes. Obviously the place to go for serious cyclists and some time bike mechanics like me.

UPDATE Jul 2022 - Great to see the shop has sacked the perpetrator or if they didn't, he has not repeated his behaviour in over 4 years since I wrote this review. Also, almost unanimous 5-star reviews (with 10% being from females) could also mean the perpetrator has left or forever held his tongue. The owners will have their suspicions about who he is as they know all the employees who have left since 2017. I was, indeed, telephoned by Google HQ, about my review and confirmed that I had witnessed the incident as I described it in my review.At the Grays Hill, Bangor town centre premises in 2017, I witnessed outrageously rude anti-female sexism by a male member of staff. No stars. Other male staff were watching as it happened and didn't intervene and, indeed, were laughing obviously very accustomed to watching and being entertained by women being verbally abused.

Seen a bike i liked when i was in one day. Took me two weeks to decide to buy it, popped in a few times and talked to the helpful staff before i made my decision. I love my new ebike and can't wait for better weather so i can get out as much as i can. Thanks

Excellent repair accomplished on my son's bike which he damaged comming off on ice recently. Great and friendly staff.Highly recommended.

Amazing Service! To say I am impressed is an understatement. I have just picked up a replacement bike for my TREK FX 6 that had an issue with the crank set. I took my bike into The Bike House in Bangor and was told that it would be fixed under guarantee. A week later I was told that the crank issue had impacted the carbon frame and they were going to replace both but this would take a few weeks and was subsequently advised that I would be getting the latest FX frame and that some of the components and wheels needed to be changed. In a day and age where customer service is non-existent , Mark and the team at The Bike House , stepped up and got this sorted out with Trek and I have received a replacement bike that is better than the one I originally purchased. I will definitely buy another bike from these guys and also knowing that TREK will sort out any issues, should give a new buyer comfort that they are buying a quality product , backed up by great customer service.
