It was a great location for the Christmas Market. But unfortunately that is the only positive thing I can say. Unfortunately, we didn’t have the experience of the staff friendliness that others from these reviews have had. In fact quite the opposite. Staff looked young so perhaps inexperienced (although that’s unfair on the young people who do have good customer service). I get it was a busy time for staff but we paid £125 (each couple) for 1 night and we were spoken to like dirt.

Hotel was lovely clean, rooms were roomy. Food was great and staff were very friendly. Only negative was our room faced over a road, our first night a Friday was fine. But Saturday night/ Sunday more we were woken at 1.05am by a group of men shouting on the otherside of the road this went on for over half an hour, again this happened around 4am and just before 7am a tearoom across the road, had a delivery and the banging and crashing woke us again. So if we were to go back, we would definitely make sure we didn't have a room facing the road.

We had Sunday lunch here and had a lovely time. The manager Lorna and her team were very patient with our three toddlers and went out of their way to accomodate us. They were amazing with providing vegan options, including vegan Yorkshire puddings, which I've never had before. Great experience, everyone happy, will defintely go back.

Friendly, helpful staff. Amazing breakfast. Good vibe. Great location. Very comfortable stay. Such a lovely start to my holiday I decided to finish there to see if it was as good as I thought. It was.

Wandered in a 7:45pm with five friends. Seated ourselves, browsed the menu but were interrupted by a member of staff telling us that because they only had one chef (which, apparently, is a situation they’ve had for three months) they can’t serve food for six people because we need to book in advance, despite there being absolutely no signage and the pub being relatively quiet. Definitely one to avoid until central management can install a proper manager.

Stayed one night , clean beds but in need of a make over, very dated. We had room 21 which was quite noisy with early morning traffic.Great position for Worcester town centre and Racecourse.Nice friendly staff.Bar prices very reasonable.

Thought we would try the talbot instead of driving out of town.We opted for the sunday roast. Within 3 minutes of ordering the food was on the table !!I know theres tricks and hacks for chefs to get the food out quick why wouldn't they?On first impressions the meal looked great the veg roast potatoes were ok.The problem was the meat . we had the three meats pork beef and turkey. And i must say it was tough as old boots like rubber very chewyFatty not nice at all couldn't eat mine.Very disappointed. When asked by the waitress was everything ok i told her i didn't enjoy it for reasons above..She opologizedJust to add its a very nice pub and the saff were very nice. Maybe the kitchen was just having a bad day?Im not going to slag the pub off for one negative experience. But the kitchen needs to be on there game when it come to serving meat i should have been able to cut it with a spoon!Would i go there again.Maybe! But i wouldn't order the same mealSorry talbot....Just wasn't very nice and are experience was very disappointing.

Nice place to stay, the rooms are little on the old site but considering it's age it's not too bad.The service was excellent, especially from Debbie and Margie who put on a very good breakfast spread and always start your day right. The location is ideal, parking close by and next to lots of great food, drink and nightlife.

Great location for central Worcester if you can tolerate some noise from the dual carriageway outside (I'd recommend ear plugs) . Rooms felt a bit threadbare and run down, but were perfectly clean and functional. Breakfast was about what you'd expect from a chain pub: Generous portions, but nothing too write home about...

This place saved my life, I couldn't get back home because of the train strike and managed to get a room here. The rooms do need upgrading, but are clean and comfortable, and at least you can open the windows, not like Premier Inn. My only criticism really, is that the rooms could be cheaper. I never give 5 stars unless there's a lift, but it's an old building and I'm sure it would be difficult to fit one. Overall, my one night stay was great.
