The instructions provided to finish the site were excellent, so we arrived in good time, were kitted out and taken to the launch site very quickly. The friendly guys chatted to us on the way, gave us some paddling guidance and talked us through our route, places to stop, what to look our for at the landing site and what to do when we got there, as well as an indication of how long it could take. We had a great day on the river, the instructions were very useful and we got to the landing site a little early, but they came straight out to pick us up. The whole experience was fantastic, it was very relaxing and lovely to see all the birds at their level

Really good experience from start to finish! Nice easy check-in with friendly staff, very knowledgeable folks kitting us out and giving the safety briefing, and even giving us some wildlife and environmental tips to help protect the river! Good modern safety kit that fitted, and well maintained canoes and paddles. This was my nieces first canoeing trip and she fell in love with it! Highly recommended!

We canoed from Hoarwithy to Symond's Yat with this company and found them to be great.Canoes were in really good order, and we were provided with a barrel for our dry belongings.They also kindly carried out canoe to and from the water's edge so no heavy carrying which was nice.They were very upfront and honest with us and suggested we stopped in Symond's Yat rather than Monmouth because of the heat, as we had booked.Very professional company overall.

Fantastic service. Really professional, good equipment, good safety overview but, most importantly, an amazing product - the views you will see if the River Wye are stunning and cannot be seen from any other form of travel. Cannot rate highly enough.

Friendly, helpful staff, excellent, well maintained kit, decent prices. What more can you ask for to enjoy an incredible weekend paddling down the river Wye!They checked us in on the Saturday, kitted us out with everything we needed. Two canoes, liffe jackets, barrels for our stuff. They drove us to the start and gave us a safety briefing and set us on our way. At the end they promptly picked us up and transported us back to the base where we'd left the car.Fantastic adventure, absolutely loved it and so did everyone else in our party. Highly recommended!Only negative, and this is really clutching at straws, was that we had to pay £12 to park the car at the base. Considering we'd paid £290 for canoe hire this left a bit of a sour note but didn't detract from the experience.

Good safety instructions and it was a lovely day however this place is nothing more than a tourist trap. After spending a day canoeing we had to walk the 5 minutes back to our car. We were fine to do so but the path was so muddy and slippery that my uncle fell over and hit his back. We were forced to pass an ice cream shop which we now realise was a trap. The ice cream and £5 per serving. They only had one pub on the entire map which makes sense as they are probably working with them. Google maps let us know that there where many other pubs with much better food and are not focused on being a tourist trap. I would not recommend this place. There are many other places who send you the same route and are not so focused on being a tourist trap. DO NOT RECOMMEND

A great place to rent a canoe and paddle downstream for a few hours.Easy to get to and with plenty of parking, the team here make everything so easy.They load you up with everything you need and then drive you up river before the safety briefing and getting you in the water.The distance (7 miles?) is easy to cover in the time given (4 hours) so it allows for some downtime on the banks of the river.We were even given a route to a lovely ‘refreshment house’ this time round.Top rated.

Reasonable price, friendly informative staff and amazing views. Dog friendly for chilled dogs. Same goes for kids. Day thing completely doable with very relaxed paddling. If a pub on the way makes a long delay, more paddling is required to be back in time but doable.Unlikely to get capsized but even if you do, you're never more than a minute away from other paddlers who would be able to help.

Brilliant day. We loved our time on the river. The scenery was absolutely stunning. Very slow to get everyone on the mini buses at the start (lots of people arrived late) but the friendliness of staff and the canoe trip itself made up for the wait. We will definitely, definitely do it again. Next time we will bring swimmers and towels.
