Purchased a large tub of crab meat 2020 was obviously picked by the apprentice as full of shell. Let's hope fully qualified now and picked cleanly. Now not sure if I will purchase another this year when I visit.

We bought absolutely excellent turbot and delicious prawns to cook at home. We’re not local but will definitely be looking into delivery as they were both so fresh and tasty.

Stayed in Beer this week and visited the fishmonger 3 times. Everything was delicious, plaice, cod, prawns and whiting. My only regret if forgetting to order a lobster. Great plaice for fresh seafood

Guy purposely tried to trip me up with a hose pipe as I entered the store. Then wouldn’t come inside and serve me. So we turned around and left. Bad experience.

High quality, fresh seafood available daily. Recommend popping in just to see what they have! The cooked whole crab is one of my favourites.

The owner had served a customer and was messing with the card machine. I nicely asked if they had any dressed crab whilst it was a quiet moment and was abruptly told to wait because he was serving someone else then pulled a face. It made me feel awful all day. Thanks mate!!

We are on holiday in Beer for the week and today had decided to have some fresh fish for dinner.Having already got the ingredients for our prepared dish the day before, we decided to head on down to Beer by foot once the rain had subsided.This we did at around 14:00 hours when we arrived in Beer by foot and spoke to a helpful gent regards purchasing some Cod.We told him that we were heading to the pub for a few refreshments and asked what time they shut, he said 16:30 hrs. So as we didn't want to wonder around Beer with Wet fish we decided to leave it till exactly 16:20 hours having left the pub at 16:15.We arrived at the Wet fish shop to find the door open and empty counters, however staff were in attendance.When asked if they were still open the reply was No" as he was cleaning down the shop.We said "The guy said earlier it was open till 16:30.Reply was "Well i never said that did i?"Incidentally this is a different man to the one we saw earlier.At this point it appeared the person clearly wasn't interested in our custom so therefor it was off home to find an alternative choice of a meal.The moral of the story "if you advertise a closure time of 4:30 the least you can do is welcome people till 4:30
