Great pub/venue serving great real ales and a wide selection of spirits. The front bar has a trad pub feel with friendly atmosphere. The 200 capacity rear bar hosts live bands including occasional surprise big names and party night. Late bar at weekends both sides. All in all an excellent place that you will find hard to beat outside of a major city.

Fantastic grass roots music venue. Always love seeing gigs here and recently saw the legendary Francis Dunnery with his blues project, Tombstone Dunnery who blew the roof off.

Excellent music venue. So glad that the management have barred a narcissistic guy who causes trouble and claims to be a victim. The women are a lot safer since Tom S got barred. The doormen take complaints seriously and always assess whether a situation is serious enough to warrant a barring or not.

Drank here for years but got barred because I broke up with a girl that I then had police involvement with after being physically assaulted by one of her friends outside the pub.Girl has been instructed by police not to attend the pub due to it's proximity to my house after constantly harassing me. But the owners prefer the girl over me.If you're a supporter of Men's rights or a supporter of Male mental health- I implore you not to give this pub your money.Imagine being barred for involving the police in an assault?
