Justice for phasents. We live in 21st century but still receive 11th century justice standart. Awful. These outdated Magistrate so called court system must be updated.

Easily accessible by bus, tram and train are also possible with a 10 minute walk. All courts are wheelchair and disabled accessible and a loop system is installed.Café with good food at reasonable prices. No fines payment now at the Court.Separate youth court entrance round the side.Very committed, community minded and friendly staff who work positively for the community.

Not a review but a question: Is it true that part of the original Jolly Carter Pub is used as decoration? (family history). Would like to know before traveling to England

TOTAL FARCE!Firstly I was sent a letter telling me to arrive at a time before the court was even open. Then I was told to change buildings then after 2 hours wait i was told to go back to the original building. While i was waiting I asked the usher if I could present some information regarding my case to the magistrate. That usher disappeared when i was sent back to the original building and there was no usher just a court clerk who said i would get chance to present my papers to the magistrate, I wasn't.I spent half of my time in the court room sat on a bench rather than in the dock and the craziest bit was when I was told to lie! Think of a reason why i shouldn't ban you .When I said its my livelihood I've been doing it 32 years I was told you have already used that 'excuse' before is there another reason. I couldn't believe after taking the oath i was being told to invent a lie.. Absolutely farcical!

What could be a very useful building is empty of character and voice.Subtle voices are heard in offices and lawyers scuttle around with a briefcase and arms full of papers.People sit nervously eyeing up anyone who has a suit on and is walking around! The building has a cafe and public toilets. A pay and display car park is in very easy walking distance and there are spaces for disabled cars. (Cars for the disabled not disabled cars!)The entrance is guarded by 4 G4S security guards and a metal detector but its a very sterile environment. More use of colour and smiles would go a very long way!Other than that its a great place :)

A note of appreciation to the security guard on duty morning of 9th Feb 2023 to courts 9 & 10. I am sure his job is to see people through the scanner and make sure everyone is safe. However, the caring application of his role, explaining to each arrival the process that will take place. Ordering arrivals with the ensuing army of opposition advocates who later turned up did at least make it feel like there was at least someone giving a care about the swathes of unrepresented men being held to account against a phalanx of uncaring litigates no doubt representing the same narcissistic traits I have been made to battle. Where many are at tipping point in a mental health battle to be able to see their children. Good on you Blue! Over and above, much appreciated.
