I've recently spent time in the Critical Care Dept with a family member S.P. who unfortunately suffered a life threatening injury. Can I by means of this message pass on my thanks to the team of professional people that attended his needs , and my admiration for the work and the manner in which they went about it. The nurse's were so caring which went a long way in helping with the situation, many ,many thanks

Appalling my Father was transferred from Haywards Heath in a ambulance with a serious infection. He was left for 14 hours in a&e. Getting worse. 2.30am he got a bed next to a&e waiting room!!!! I was horrified.Moved again to the correct ward the next day. So far they have lost his blood results twice. Handover seems non existent. Nobody seems to have a clue tbh I wonder how many people walk out of a&e fed up. We met one 93 year old very ill, 1am she left fed up, we found out later she passed away. I can’t say I have much faith at all

Dangerous neglect in my first birth at this hospital. My second birth was at home and alone (living in the center of Brighton) because midwives and ambulance didn't respect my request for help. In both cases they didn't believe I was as far along as I was and it lead to me having horrific birthing experiences (1st baby born within 1.5 hrs of initial contractions, 2nd baby born within 45 minutes) by myself with no bad track record with the NHS (I'm Canadian). Since moving to the UK I've developed asthma and at this hospital if you have trouble breathing or an asthma attack I was made to feel I was a sad pospartumn mum with a panic attack problem.... I'm not.. I don't haveanic attacks. Gaslighting and neglect, that's what the royal Sussex county hospital prescribes

Get some signs. For crying out loud get some signs. It's like trying to find a secret in a bad first person shooter. Also. Maybe make sure that the department or ward or whatever is called the same thing in the letter they send you as on the stupid signs. When I finally found the place I was looking for this morning I asked the receptionist how many people got lost en route. All of them" came the reply. Big fat zero out of five. I'd like a star for not swearing please."

Who the hell designed this new rebuilt reception area!Useless staff, sorry not sorry.None & I mean ZERO wheelchairs. And nowhere to drop off outside the reception entrance.Oh, and a pigeon flying around inside being chased by some hapless staff.Appalled by the difficulty my elderly father had to endure.“Oh ok then we’ll have to get a Porter, but we don’t know how long it’ll be”.Oh, but it’s got a nice coffee shop & wifi FFS.Priorities all wrong.Audiology staff & technicians are excellent tho.

If at all possible, I avoid this hospital.A rabbit warren of towers, departments and dingy corridors.A&E visits have always involved long waits or time on trollies.Shoved into side rooms with no basics like toilets or water.Spent 5 days there after a pelvic fracture.Moved three times and finally into an old ladies ward.No male facilities, seat fell of lavatory, corridor floor repaired during the night.Assessed as fit to go while unable to walk and still on oramorph.Refused to leave until transport, all of 4-miles, arranged. How on earth do they think that despite having an unsupported pelvic fracture and using a walking frame are you going to get into a taxi or bus?

Can’t praise Trafford renal ward enough. Had a few hospital visits in different hospitals recently and these guys are by far the best. Sue and her team showed such care and compassion. They all spoke to each patient kindly and treated everyone so well. Thank you for all your hard work.

I cannot fault this hospital, I recently had my lower leg amputated, the staff were all fantastic from the surgeons to the cleaners, all were respectful and caring. My other leg will need the same operation in a few months and I have no worries about having it done at this hospital.

When you are very worried and want to get a message to a patient. Do the A&E reception have to be so rude. I needed to get an urgent message and yes I did ring 3 times because my husband got no messages! In the past nurses and doctors have been kind and friendly. But some admin staff have such an attitude. What do you do when you are full of so much worry- oh yes I know you get a bad tempered admin woman just what you need!

My 27 year old daughter was brought into A&E early Monday morning I cannot thank everyone enough who cared for her and the ambulance staff who brought her in to a&e. By the time we arrived at midday (as we live far away )she had had every medical check and was cared for by a lovely nurse .I could cry to think how busy this unit was and how my daughter looked after .Thank you from the bottom of my heart from A Mum xx
