STROND AUTOMATIC WATCHES

I bought my DC3 automatic a couple of years ago. I was really pleased with the quality and the looks of my watch considering what I thought was a reasonable price. I have kept it as a dress watch and only wear it in the evenings and for going out. I believe that these are fitted with the cheap as chips Seiko NH35 movement, but wasn't unduly worried, as I couldn't find any adverse comments in forums about their reliability. However, it developed a fault almost a year later. I contacted the owner of the business and he very quickly responded, asking to send it back. He had the movement replaced without quibble. At almost exactly a year later, the watch developed another inexplicable problem with the hands going out of synchronization. Contacting the company, I was told that I would have to send it to a watch repairer. I dread to think what this will cost me compared to the value of the watch and I feel aggrieved, because I just wouldn't expect to have so much trouble with a watch costing this much. I have a Russian watch which cost less than a quarter of this which I have worn for work as a builder for years. It has been thoroughly abused and has never ever missed a beat! I have other Strond watches which seem very reliable. Maybe I have just been unlucky, but despite how much I love Strond's styling, this has made me think twice about buying any more of their watches.

Very happy with the watch, the detailing and quality of the straps etc are top class and I would deffinately recomend purchasing one as you wont be dissapointed.

Visited the shop to collect my watch. Charming owner and delighted with the watch. It seems to keep good time and feels more premium than the price.
