Pawfect Pets Dog Training

Jess has been incredible. She took the time to listen to me and really helped me understand my dog and his needs. He was pulling on the lead, reacting to people and dogs and generally not listening to me. He was super excited all the time. Each week Jess set up a plan and gave me the tools to work with Loki and help his loose lead walking, reactivity, jumping, focus and our bond. Explaining the science behind a dog and how their mind works allowed me to understand Loki so much more. Understanding that he wants to work, he wants to learn and he wants to do it with me has been a complete life changing experience. Each week Jess could see an improvement and throughout this journey she has helped me with my confidence as well as Lokis. Not only did I get 1-1 lessons weekly, Jess was there for me every day via WhatsApp. I’d send her videos of progress and problems and she would be there with words of encouragement and support. Always positive just like training Loki. Through JUST positive reinforcement my dog has made me so proud. I can now walk him on a loose lead. We still have so much to learn but the progress so far has been amazing. Jess has also helped with training Loki to be a gun dog, staying in his hide for duration and retrieving to hand. He listens to commands and I can tell he wants to work with me. I can honestly not recommend Jess enough. She has made a massive difference to our home. I’m so proud of Loki and so grateful to Jess for all the help. Thank you Jess, from Loki and me (and Lola loved being your demonstration dog)

We did a hoopers intro workshop in August and had great fun. We did excellent foundation work, and also covered a lot so we got a good feel of how it all fitted together. Jessica was very good at explaining and made sure the training was tailored to each dog.Since then we have continued training with Jess, started competing in hoopers which is brilliant fun, and also achieved IMDB partnership level 6 which I am thrilled about and has strengthened our life skills.

Fantastic dog trainer, really knows her stuff. Very friendly approach, takes things at the dogs pace, positive reinforcement only. Classes are fun and friendly. My dog loves going for Hoopers classes. Highly recommend :)

I went to Pawfect Pets to try and curbmy dogs prey drive. He'd take off after deer, rabbits, squirrels etc and was deaf to recall.We signed up to a 6 week course, and from the outset I saw him paying more attention to me.Jess gave us tasks to practice each week, and would give constructive feback on the videos we sent.At the end of the 6 weeks, although not perfect, he's much easier to distract when he senses or sees wildlife. Now not running off nearly as much. In fact over the last 2 weeks he hasn't taken off at all.Although I need to keep practicing with everything we've done, I feel much more confident that I can recall him from tricky situations.Thank you Jess.

Jess is super knowledgeable about canine behaviour and training. We've worked with Jess in both obedience/behaviour training and most recently an intro to canine hoopers, which was excellent! Jess is very patient and able to tailor what you are doing to you and your dog.Highly recommend!

We have just completed a six week puppy training class with our black lab at Pawfect Pets training. Really friendly and learnt a lot. I have a Doberman puppy and chose a trainer with the same breed as I thought Jess could give me better insight on them. Definitely helped understanding them a lot. Structured lessons and you work towards puppy grades!

Really can’t recommend Jess enough. She has helped us and our pup molly through puppy stage, into adolescent and now introducing us to hoopers.Jess will find a solution to any problem and will make learning very fun.

Jess has been absolutely amazing for guiding and helping us with our first ever pup. She really understood what we wanted to be able to do as a family and got the kids involved in training too. Indie (the pup) adored her too. Always positive, enthusiastic and realistic too. Would highly recommend. We can't wait to sign up for the next training.

We joined Saturday Hoopers class at the start of January 2023. We were made to feel welcome straight away, classes are relaxed but also informative with each dog and owner getting individual attention. Jess is a great trainer who is professional but also understanding and friendly. 10/10 would recommend!
