Greyfriars Burial Ground
This graveyard has been kept as a nature habitat so they only maintain a small area of the lawn. This encourages local wildlife such as bats and such to exist within the city. There are quite a few older graves stones here with the oldest going back to 1580. There is a small section where a number of headstones have been more protection from the weather and these display some of the iconography of old headstones.

Very beautiful and also very creepy at the same time. Very haunted too. I wouldn't want to be there at night.

This cemetery is on the site of the old Franciscan monastery in Perth. It is easy to miss but well worth a visit. It is not intensively cut, but left in a more natural state to encourage biodiversity. An oasis of peace in Perth.

Brilliant cemetery full of amazing stonework in the centre of Perth. At the back are some sheltered and preserved examples of 17th century motifs and symbols, worth checking out if you're into that sort of thing!
