Cattle very dangerous over there been downs have been striped bare of foilage so used to see badgers foxes not anymore good place to see rabbits and adders nice views

Lovely, scenic and peaceful walk today, up to the Longstone. There are 3 routes up; we took the easiest from halfway up Strawberry Lane which is the most level and about a 1/4 mile there from the road. There is parking for one, and possibly two cars, at the gate.

Not open Friday or Saturday. House never open (or just one day a year ). Gardens are nice but very expensive. The cafe is more like a stable with very little options at highly inflated prices. When you can walk straight past this and walk in the beauty of The Longstone and the woods around it, why pay £7 per person to stroll around an elitist garden.
