Charlton Cemetery

This hillside cemetery is located to the north of the Old Charlton Road. The cemeteries on the south side are separate areas. There is a long entrance drive to a chapel which now appears to be a private residence.The graves are from the mid-19thC to the modern day and include a scattering of war graves and a war memorial.The grounds are well-kept. The views and the mature trees are beautiful. There is no where to sit and with virtually no watering facilities no encouragement for real flowers. It is not suited to visitors with mobility problems. There is no car park.
