Adnams Stamford

Excellent selection, friendly and expert staff - Stamford is very lucky to have a proper wine merchants still. If you're a fan of the vine or want to expand your horizons and knowledge you should make a visit!

Couldn't buy anything as they don't expect money in the age old lol legal form of cash poor staff were very apologetic just won't be going to adnams again

Fantastic selection of wines, beers, spirits and drinking paraphernalia. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful and overall just a really nice shopping atmosphere.

I thought that the shop itself was professionally laid out, great selection of home/kitchen wears and lovely choice of beers, ales and wines. My only problem (all be it a big one) was the staff. I do not claim to be any kind of wine expert, but I think that I know a thing or two holding a qualification in wine knowledge and tasting. When I and a friend were browsing the wine selection, dressed casually (bearing in mind we are only 19 / 20 years of age, were not approached by a single member of staff for assistance or help (I knew what I wanted any Australian Cabernet but this is besides the point. This would have been fine, apart from what appeared to be the manager asking every member of the public of which were all middle aged and dressed well if they needed assistance and to find him for any help. I wonder why this was? Because I was in shorts? Because of my young age? Who knows, but please adnams don't judge customers in their appearance treat everybody with the same respect you would treat your staff members! (Observation not criticism haha)...

Good selection of alcohol. A nice stop during a long drive down the A1.

Went in to pick up a few beers on a Friday and they had a gin tasting! Their new pink gin was nice and they served it in a cocktail with prosecco.I'd recommend the place as it has a good selection of beers, wines and spirits.Also good home-wares section so the shop is generally useful to pick up some gifts etc.Friendly & helpful staff.
