Cumberland Centre

Turned up on a Saturday morning anticipating a long wait. Couldn’t be further from the truth. On arrival I was efficiently checked in by reception, then triaged, and finally seen in the same room by the clinician. This whole process took around 15 minutes total. Centre is an absolute credit to the NHS.

Arrived early and was promptly assessed and treated with friendly ,professional and super quick surgery. Thankyou staff of Cumberland!

Arrived at 09.00 was quickly seen by the triage nurse who was very good and friendly, said i needed to have an X-ray this was done within 15 minutes. After X-ray back to the triage nurse for results and left by 09.45, excellent service and nice staff.

Just want to say thank you to the nurses and staff at the Cumberland Centre. Went in yesterday with a suspected fracture after a fall and the staff could not have looked after us better. Yes, we were in there a long time but were triaged and x-rayed promptly with painkillers administered. It was the end of a long shift for the staff but they were still positive and a pleasure to deal with.

I am writing this because My daughter has an appointment with the mental health team her grandparents went with her for support , whilst the psychiatrist was pleasant , the other person in the room I believe called Kirsty was bloody horrible , she reduced my daughter to tears with how nasty she was . My daughter is vulnerable with regards to her mental health and now with a pregnancy . My husband and I have emailed this team on numerous occasions with our concerns , mostly with no replies . Another email has been sent to them with regards todays meeting . Incidentally we have not just not tuned up to meetings , we were emailed about one and we replied we could not make it as we were both at work . We received no other emails about appointments . My daughter was given phoned about an appointment which gave an hour or so notice due to a cancellation again asking if we could go guess what no we were at work . I am fuming , am going to take legal advice because this now the icing on the cake with our dealing with this team .

Took my son there they said it was a 2 hour wait but he was there for four hours,being given nothing for his problem just told in the end to call his doctor on Tuesday, in fareness they were busy but we got there at 9.30 am didn't leave till 1.40pm.Time the doctors started seeing their patients again stop fobbing us off with phone calls you can't see the problems that way, give the Cumberland centre a break everyone turning up there because they can't see their own doctor.

Went there on Saturday morning with a piece of glass embedded in my heel.I was seen within 20 minutes by a fantastic nurse Zara who not only did the triage bit but got the glass out as well. A fantastic experience and Zara was very professional and did a great job. Thank you.

Wow! What an experience. My husband broke his hand. I took him down there. The staff from start to finish were so pleasant and friendly. And quick to be seen. In and out in less than 2 hours. Thank you all so much for your care.

I was there for 8 hours but in there defense there was only 2 nurses on and a packed out waiting room, the xray machine went down which didn't help there cause, when I was seen they were very bubbly friendly and helpful regardless of the stick they got from inpatient entitled people throughout my wait, I was seen diagnosed and released in around 5mins, apart from the wait im happy, thanks guys you do an awesome job
