Mount Pleasant Baptist Church

Mount Pleasant is my family! :) It is a place where Gods people meet together through Jesus Christ! It preaches the truth of Jesus to everyone that comes in! If you want to see life and love lived out, and a people humbly serving each other then its the place to be. The only reason for this is because Jesus lives in us by the spirit and helps us change and grow and because the elders and pastor Steve always teach the bible and nothing else! :) Please visit us and come to know God for yourselves! :)

Great bible based Church. Very friendly people and people aren't pushy or forceful with their faith. Is an open and welcoming Church to all.

I have been going to this wonderful church for five years now and it has been such a blessing from Christ. There are many things on during the week for both christians and nonchristians to be involved in such as a mothers and toddler group, tuesday lunchtime meeting and prayer meeting to name a few. The church really is a family that tries its best to love and encourage one another. As a church we read the books of the bible together monthly to help us keep our eyes and hearts fixed on Jesus. There are two services on Sundays; one at 11am and the other at 6pm where everybody is welcome.

Mount Pleasant Baptist Church is a brilliant church. The best thing is that you can see the Bible lived out there. The importance of trusting in Jesus is emphasised above all things, and the love of God is really seen being expressed through His people at Mount. It's the best church I've ever been to - and it's changed my life and the lives of my family. I would never want to go anywhere else.

Best place I’ve been since I got to UK

Friendly and welcoming church doing their best to exemplify Jesus. I was overwhelmed by the peace and love and received from them. I decided to get married here last year and I still attend the church.

From the first day i stepped in there, i felt the presence of God.

Went there for a number of months, at first it was good, made to feel out of place because I spoke to a young lady, was told not to speak to her. I picked up a bible and asked this person to show me in the bible where it says not to talk to people and he failed. I walked out and never returned. The person who belittled me and made me feel inferior was Tom Martin, he's the smiling assassin. No wonder they have lost a large percentage of their congregation. I gave 1 * but honestly they should have 0*. Stay well clear of this place.

I've been a regular member of Mount Pleasant Church since 2003 and have see it grow from a church of 40 or so to over 250 in that time (2013). I've been encouraged and helped by so many people from the church, not only that but there are masses of opportunities to serve and enjoy fellowship too.The RBT scheme was started at Mount and its been one of the most encouraging things to be involved in. The whole church reads a book (or more if they're short!) of the bible each month and then meets together to share what we've learned. Hearing how God has spoken to one another and asking the questions of the Bible that it demands (focussing on Jesus and how knowing and seeing him helps us to endure and serve) has been a revelation! Being personally spoken to and encouraged, challenged and often rebuked by God's word and being able to share all that with other members of the church has been just amazing, I can't recommend it enough!The church is very much like a family, always welcoming and every week Jesus is faithfully and powerfully proclaimed. The last 10 years in Mount have been the most exciting, encouraging and fulfilling so far, the way God has been blessing us I hope for another 10 just like it!

My first visit and I loved every bit of the time I spent there. There's a strong feeling of community and bonding in the Church. Everyone participated in singing all the hymns and you could really feel the presence of God in the ambiance.
