Carpets and Flooring by John Wright

The bathroom vinyl J Wright sold me (@ ~£340 for 2.6m² inc. ply) developed water stains within a couple of months. These have now combined into one very large and ever-growing permanent stain [SEE: photo]. Only on complaining was I given the info that water cannot sit for more than 30mins before the flooring is permanently stained. ....How is this fit for bathroom use? I have an elderly mother that I have to get in and out of the bath; this obviously takes time [....and 'no' Mrs Saleswoman, we do not keep the bath mat sodden on the floor and I still take offence at the accusation].I dare not think how such flooring would fare in a larger family with people taking consecutive showers, or with water droplets left from a morning wash until someone comes home from work. You would have to constantly be thinking about the flooring. Again, not fit for purpose.On the other hand, if 30mins is the industry standard (I don't know), surely this nugget of wisdom is significant enough to be brought up pre-sales? People go to flooring specialists - believe it or not - for their specialist advice!!Either way, J Wright at the very least should take some responsibility but they have point blank refused. In fact, I was totally ghosted after the flooring inspection. I was told that someone would be in touch with the outcome but nada. I had to go into the shop a week later to chase it up. I also got the impression that I was not the first person to complain about this specific vinyl. On a positive, Lewis fitted the vinyl very well indeed [hence the 2 stars]. It's just a shame that J Wright's pre-sales, after-care and stock quality was all grossly sub-standard in my case.

Second time John has carried out work in my home, and excellent both times. Highly recommend and makes things easy.

We recently moved into a new build property and had John and his team to carry out the complete house flooring carpet and karndean, i can honestly say from start to finish visiting the shop Leighton Buzzard to the fitting was first class, the attention to detail and work quality is amazing, if you use john you won’t regret it. We had our hallway carpet replaced with wooden flooring and coir matting in the doorway. Cameron and Lewis did an excellent and professional job over two days, as well as offering care advice for our existing light coloured carpets.I would recommend for both the service received and the end result, and would use them again in the future.

Tracey was really friendly and helpful and Lewis completed the job to high standard. We’re really pleased with our new hall, stairs and landing carpet. I highly recommend them.
