I had this place at 5 stars. That is until my son's bike started to rust at 9 months old. Still in warranty yet the staff, assistant manager, manager and head office all tried to fob me off by blaming me for storing the bike in a garage. They've finally agreed to replace the rusted part but only after the threat of trading standards and the small claims court. Terrible customer service. Go to toys r us instead.

Great experience but they are missing something which would be very helpful to disabled people. Being disabled I find it difficult to walk around large stores, I feel that the big stores like Smyth's toys could benefit by having wheelchairs available for disabled people, elderly, and the young. They have a disabled toilet why not a wheelchair

Slightly upset after purchasing a large toy they gave me a bag to put it in, it was raining heavily so asked for a second bag was told they could only give one, said I would pay for another again told no, I then asked if they had any tape that I could fasten the bag over the top as no handles again told no,I guess someone had not had their coffee that morning and was a bit grumpy.

Great store. The staff are more than helpful. But had a little issue when collecting Pokemon cards for someone. If you spend £20 on Pokemon Go cards, you get a free promo card exclusive to Smyths free with your purchase. I double checked the stock online and the website said 15 of the promo cards were available in the Blackpool store. So made the journey, spend £28 on cards only to be told they have none of the promo cards left, even though they were still advertising it on the glass cabinet the pokemon cards are kept in. The helpful member of staff went to look for some in stock, but to no avail. Extremely disappointing.

A toy had a cheaper sticker on than what it scanned for, we had to stand in front of a queue whilst they checked if we changed stickers. ( we hadn’t) Yes it’s policy to check, but it could have been handled much better and an apology made without us asking for one.The elderly couple next to us had the exact same issue, they where refunded and sent on there way…The Scottish manager clearly needs retrained in how to speak to customers who spend a fortune in Smyths. The other staff as usual were great.Just be prepared to feel like an idiot when one of their own makes a mistake.We’ve spent easily 4k in this one shop alone this year which makes us all the more insulting.

Wow what a brilliant toy store, it has every toy imaginable, also it does gaming equipment and gaming chairs, ball ponds, activities for the garden, cots, prams, it is well worth a visit, it's a really big store, the staff are really friendly and helpful

John who was responsible for customer service / returns has the worst manners. Have been shouted at for returning a product. If you don’t like your job move on!Don’t recommend at all.

Good staff, nice atmosphere and toys but tried to return something after a day with the same staff member and he tried to say ide opened it but he returned in full price regardless as I hadn’t opened it, be careful with returns
