An ok option for a quick sandwich close to the british museum. Tourist prices for sure, but the experience was not as bad as other reviewers. Overall ok but surely there are better options around

Lovely afternoon tea and excellent location close to the British Museum! Good choice for an afternoon snack after a day at the museum. There are vegetarian options too!

I was in London an entire week (after have breakfast here) and I didn't find another place like this... I took the breakfast in the picture and I can't believe it liked me so much (and I'm not the perfect British breakfast lover). The service is really fast and quality and the atmosphere is kindly (despite the few tourists like me in there). Totally recommend

so well, to start, everything felt a little bit loveless. I ordered cream tea (it’s 7,95 or smt like that) and even ordering was a little bit difficult, the waitresses were super busy, I got my scone, but there was not much jam, and the tea came later and yeah everything seemed a bit confused on top, I couldn’t pay when I ordered, so I needed to pay after but then they had a problem with the card payment and I needed to get cash (..) and sitting outside also felt uncomfortable, because i was sitting next to the bicycle line and people were walking through all the time. But the scones were really good and really home-made, they also offer different dishes and good looking pastries so I think for a quick stop by it’s definitely enough!

It’s the rudest cafe I had been ever! The food was awful. When we paid the bill, they told us their card machine was broken and cause we didn’t have cash or physical card, they asked us to go to the bank and got some cash. As a tourist, we felt very confused and then they got really rude and told us to be responsible for ourselves. Seriously?? I will not recommend this cafe at all!! One star is more than you deserved!

A fine find after visiting the British Museum. An independent cafe, with fabulously strong coffee, incredibly friendly staff and very quick service.Very small and quite claustrophobic inside with room for only 1 - 2 customers at a time, so we sat outside as the weather was warm. One coffee, one tea, one scone with jam and clotted cream plus a gorgeously gooey florentine cost just over £14.

Unhygienic place, server was coughing onto the sandwich meat and cakes. Mediocre food for the price, scones dry and not fresh. Claim that their card machine doesn't work since months must be a tax avoidance of some sort. Avoid this place, walk a few more minutes for a better experience.

Popped in for a quick pastry and cappuccino while waiting for our timed entry to The British Museum. What a delight. The croissant was light and flaky and the cappuccino perfect. They had cases filled with many delights. Looking forward to returning for additional treats. If you’re in the area pop in. They are a small business so cash is preferred but cards are accepted.
