I don't see any recent reviews for this place . It was very poor slow service and there was only one other table occupied when we arrived . I'm afraid £18 for 2 inadequate omelettes. Shared chips and pot of tea is ridiculous it's not like your paying for a view either.No wonder places like McDonald's are so popular.Will not be returning

Burger = patty on dry roll, nothing else! Milkshake = milk with flavouring, no ice cream at all. Aweful.Pleasant service but food is lowest quality I’ve had for years.

It is what it is!! Not intentionally a retro cafe, but one that just hasn’t made it out of the 1970s yet: wooden cabinets, rickety tables with fablon imitation wood plastic covers, applied with wrinkled ages. The cheap and cheerfulness is almost an attraction in itself. Not high dining, but nevertheless a good basic cafe, with good wholesome food and smiley service. And well supported by locals. It still feels as though it could do with an upgrade though.

Staff/owner customer service could do with a touch of charm added. Food hot and tasty, cafetiere was expensive for the size of it, but nicely flavoured.This place is more akin to a mature ladies social club, where all the ladies of the Town gather in their usual seating area and favourite places to sit after doing their shopping etc, so great banter to listen to.
