Auntie May's Chinese Takeaway
One of the worst Chinese meals to date. I tried them because the reviews on Just Eat were very good. In future I will check Google reviews are much more on point. The ribs were tough and tasteless. The chicken wings were fatty with some sort of cinnamon seasoning on them. The rice was far too salty. The house special fried rice had morsals of meat that were unrecognisable and strange tasting. Most of the food was masked with chilli pepper. I can't understand feed back saying that it was a good takeaway. The food was not fresh at all. This is my first time and most definitely the last. What of waste of £60!

I dont write reviews much, BUT.. I ordered a few dishes for takeaway after a long, tiring saturday with kids! The food from Auntie Mays was totally amazing, light crispy Salt and Chilli Prawns, amazing Udon with King Prawns, lots of big prawns everywhere, Black Bean and Beef was tender and lovely, Chicken Chow Mein, superb. Pleasant, friendly receptionist! We will order again, and highly recommend them! Oh, now I just got to open my fortune cookie now.. Good food Auntie May, see you soon!

The food was dreadful last night. Spent £26 and the food was hardly edible. The crispy duck was dried up and rock hard, along with the pancakes, the king prawn balls still had their shell on them - disgusting, and did not feel too well this morning. Auntie May's have had their chance because the last meal wasn't good either. No point wasting any more money. Good Chinese takeaways are just so hard to find these days.

Really good meal. Delivered quickly, arrived hot and the flavours and textures were excellent. This was exactly the meal I had hoped for after a very difficult day. Delicious!!! Thank you

I’ve ordered from here quite a few times now and I can’t rate them highly enough. Every single order we’ve had has been amazing food. Service is great, very friendly and helpful lady both on the phone and in person too.The Singapore noodle is one of my favourite dishes, they make it perfectly and many changes I want to make to a dish they are so kind and helpful.Thank you for your amazing service and outstanding food.

First time trying this place. And im glad I did. The Egg fried rice was fresh, hot, light and fluffy as it should be, and not sticky in the slightest. The sweet and sour chicken hong kong style was also good, with a light sauce that did not over power the taste and the vegetables with the dish (onions, peppers and pineapple) had that fresh cooked texture and slight crunch. The salt and pepper chilli prawns were also very nice and did not suffer the usual saturation of oil as fried food sometimes can. And lastly the three standard size portions of the entire meal were enough to feed two hungry adults. Overall good value, good portions and even though they were busy I waited no longer than 10 minutes. Thank you, will return again.

Only reason this place gets 1 star is because I cant review the place on zero stars.... This place used to be excellent, excellent food, excellent service now it's just dismall and the food is slop. Food turned up on average just about warm, the special chow mein just looked like half chopped veg with slop and gristle, the duck smelt like a rotting corpse and all the rice dishes just tasted, well, tasteless. Wont EVER use this place for food again.Plenty of better Chinese restaurants around Beckenham so I suggest use them.

Awful customer service. Really gone down hill since change of ownership. I'm a regular customer, ordering weekly, sometimes twice a week. I've put up with the lack of customer service as I like the food but unfortunately I've had enough. Regular customers should be valued as there are lots of other chinese restaurants in the area, one of which will be getting my custom in future.

I really wish that I could leave a better review but unfortunately I can’t. We are regular customers, ordering every week for at least the last year. The food is not bad although not always the same each week. We’ve had a couple of deliveries that haven’t been as good as expected but what has really prompted this review is the lack of customer service. As I said we are regular customers giving a substantial amount of money to this restaurant every year but the lack of service is annoying. Tonight we were charged £2.20 for a tiny amount of hoisin sauce, which is quite frankly an insult considering the amount of money we spend in this establishment. In the past, they have forgotten parts of our order, yet have been less than apologetic. I appreciate that having a successful restaurant must be a great thing, however may I humbly suggest to remain successful you need to look after your loyal customers as they are the backbone to your business.
