Great quality delicious food - it’s traditional, yet inventive. You can tell lots of thought has gone into the dishes. Loved the desserts as well. Friendly and informative staff and lovely ambience in the restaurant.

I went to Hainan House pop up in May. The dishes are all hand made with care and love. The portion is not big so we ordered a few dishes to try. My favourite is the tiger quail egg. Can't wait to try their restaurant later this year.

I had an amazing dining experience at this restaurant! The chicken was incredibly tender and delicious. The chilli sauce that accompanied the tiger skin eggs was also outstanding. Not to mention, the staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. I can't wait to return for another delicious meal!

Beautiful cosy décor, lovely atmosphere, friendly staff! However the food portions were small and more on the pricy side and while some reviewers have described the flavours as light and delicate, I'd say the food was unfortunately quite bland.I was really looking forward to eating at a Hainanese restaurant because Hainanese chicken rice is one of my favourite dishes, and while the chicken was soft and tender, it just wasn't flavourful enough! The pig trotter fat didn't soak up any flavour either (we felt like we were just chewing on plain fat). The beef jerky noodles were alright. All in all quite disappointed sadly!

Hainan house just opened in Oct 2023, so only a few weeks when we tried it out. The vibe and service are good, but the portions are really small. While the presentation was good, the flavour was relatively bland or sub-par.We ordered the cola chicken wings, poached poussin (classic Hainanese chicken), pineapple beef and the mushroom fried rice and chicken rice.- The cola chicken wings were coated well, but the flavour was all on surface level, so the chicken meat itself was flavourless (I.e. un-marinated), but it did come with a nice unique spicy mango sauce- The classic Hainanese chicken had good texture, set in a mild sauce, but the lack of typical accompanying sauces or even chicken soup was disappointing- The beef was also very uninspiring, quite dry and very uninteresting in flavour- Both the mushroom fried rice and chicken rice were very bland and at nearly twice the price as a small bowl of rice, you probably would have been better off with that - it’s also quite disappointing that the chicken doesn’t come with any riceThe soft drink and beer prices weren’t unreasonable, but pretty limited.Overall, a couple of us were left still hungry because of the small portion sizes, but remained unredeemed by a lack of good taste. Environment is nice, but small and the service was good.We are unlikely to come back.

Really enjoyed the meal. Great flavours (very clean, light and delicately balanced) and authentic. The steamed fish was great - one of if not the best Chinese steamed fish I’ve had in London; also really enjoyed the hun noodle dish. Ambience and service were also both great.

The food is alright here. Best of all is the fish. Portion is small so need to try a few things. The aubergine and quail eggs are just ok. The eggs are a bit too hard to my taste. The beef is a bit too chewy and overdone.

Restaurant with beautiful interior and great service. It was great to experience a new regional cuisine. Everything was executed well. My particular favourite was the crispy chicken wings.

Something new to taste, and you won't regret it. Amazing food. Among all kinds of Chinese food, Hainan restaurants are really rare.Their food is delicious, not greasy or heavy on the taste. The egg crackers in the noodles are so addictive, I could just snack on it like crisps. Everything is just so new to me and surprised me with wonderful taste. Definitely a hidden gem! The menu is super friendly to vegetarians.Food came very quickly, the owner served us, she is a cheerful person and greeted everyone with the warmest welcome. You can also feel that the staff are happy to serve. Relaxed atmosphere, and the interior style is very elegant. I love the authentic Chinese embroidery on the kitchen curtain, just beautiful.
