Cheeses are very much in the news today, which reminded of a shocking experience with this company. This was a Christmas online order as a surprise for my daughter and her partner. All five cheeses were binned! The owner was loud mouth, rude, offensive and disrespectful. This was Christmas time and she certainly didn’t have any Christmas spirit whatsoever. My family and myself were extremely mortified and upset with the horrible state of the cheeses and herself, the owner.

Amazing selection! Well worth the price, can sit outside with a beer or wine and enjoy the atmosphere.If you don't finish it they'll put to take away.

Nice but very expensive. Pretty sure you can get the same pork pies round the corner at the premier shop (opposite the pub)

There is a fantastic range of cheeses available to take away or try something from the cheese board menu and team it up with a beer from the unsworth yard brewery or a wine from the snug.If you choose the right time there may be a live singer performing!A great way to relax.

Never fails to impress, been here a few times now, love the ploughman's selection between 2. Women house and real ale house either side of this place. Lovely village of Cartmel to explore too.

Amazing selection of cheese and very helpful staff. A great find in Cartmel. Note if you are eating at L'Enclume when in cartmel most of the cheese seems to be from this place. Highly recommended.

Oh but this the real deal. One of the very best in the country, it's in the same league as the Courtyard Dairy. Such lovely staff, such a well displayed selection...the goats cheese on offer was excellent...the blue, mind-blowing. The local Fellside was in fine fettle too. Now if only they sold the best as opposed to second best Red Leicester.....

CHEEESE!!!!! They offer a cheese sharing platter which you can enjoy in the courtyard. We were not anticipating just how much cheese you get! The team serving were friendly and knowledgeable about the products, and there's beer, wine and soft drinks in the businesses next door. An enjoyable afternoon
