Pets at Home Daventry

Went to take my dog to get her nails done in the Groom Room in Pets at Home. The staff were lovely and they were able to do my dogs nails with minimal stress to her (as she hates her nails being cut). The prices aren't too bad either and with their nail cutting service, you don't need an appointment so I was able to walk in and my dog was done in 5 minutes.

Really good pet store, great staff, who are always happy to help. The home brand products are also very good quality at very good prices.

Got two batches of carefresh bedding for my Syrian a few weeks ago. Opened one a week ago and it has massive clumps of dust in it. I went in to exchange it and was told it was no problem they will send it back for investigation. I adopted another Syrian from them yesterday so opened the second lot of bedding last night, same problem. Went back today and was told that they will exchange it for a different kind of bedding this time but not to buy carefresh for a few months and that I can't really keep coming back to get a free bag" absolute joke. Made me feel awful in front of other staff and customers there. I'm worried about the fact that instead of being empathetic towards the fact that I was left short of bedding for a brand new hamster which I adopted from them yesterday

Store didn't have what I was after, despite it being on their web site. Staff were friendly and offered to order it. Prices are high though. Limited stock on another visit, so I couldn't get the quantity I was after. Dog friendly in store. In store vets and dog grooming.

Was served by a girl with glittery green Christmas headband and brown hair today, forgot to ask her name but she was super friendly and really helpful. Store is always very tidy, animals well maintained and fish tanks clean. Really good range of stock. Staff know their stuff, always very cheerful and take time to answer questions.
