Service and food are excellent and good value for money. I would have given 5 stars for everything but for the dogs! As we were finishing our food we became surrounded by people with dogs. They whined, jumped on seats and provided an aroma of wet dog! It would be nice to have a dog free area, we are not all dog lovers!

Ate here last night and this afternoon. Excellent food. As a 60 year old I have to say I've just had the best chicken burger ever. Tortilla covered chicken. Superb.Last nights beef gravy sandwich was excellent.And can I advise you to be hungry eating here as portions are big!Highly reccomend this pub in this lovely village.

Masons Arms
Well, we're up in the area for a weeks holiday, and after eating at the Masons Arms earlier in the week we simply had to return for more of the steak and ale pie! Also the vegan fish and chips with battered banana blossom was a delightful change from the often served halumi as the fish substitute. Staff extremely friendly and speedy service too. Altogether a wonderful experience. Would highly recommend.

Lovely little pub. They were full when we got there but they turned the heaters on in the garden and came out to get us when a table inside was free. Allowed dogs inside. We all had Sunday roast and it was good. They also had a veggie option which could be adapted to vegan. Big portions.

Visited during lunchtime on a weekday in late August. Lovely atmosphere inside, warm, friendly welcome and super dog friendly. Good range of well kept real ales. Really good food. We chose the steak and ale pie, which seemed to be popular. We soon saw why: rich, tasty filling, seriously generous portions, lashings of gravy, and absolutely amazing homecooked chips. Highly recommend.

Really great British pub atmosphere, great food and good service. Really lovely dog friendly menu too and just a generally jovial place to be in a beautiful village!
