If possible I always try to come here when in Cornwall. It certainly isn't your typical garden centre and that's what makes it so good. They have an absolute array of unusual tropical plants and the staff are really kind and knowledgeable. 2 more plants will now adorn my collection.

Called into check out the plants, not disappointed as good choice and very reasonable price. This is just a plants (so non of the typical garden centre stuff) but with lots of very knowledgeable advice.

This place is an incredible gem. We have never been to a nursery like it before. Incredible specimen plants at great prices. Friendly and knowledgeable staff on hand to help

Great place, specialising in sub tropical plants for garden and also tropical plants for conservatories and around the house. Great feel about it and the polly tunnels are jammed packed with exotic plants.It's just off the A30 road between hayle and penzance. Coming from hayle it's just on the right hand side.

I visited with my wife and a friend on 26th May 2023, for my first and definitely my last visit. The nursery seemed very interesting with lots of lovely plants; my wife chose three to buy and our friend chose one that was priced at £34.50, with the price tag very firmly stapled to black plastic pot that it was growing in. The grey-haired lady who eventually served us said that £34.50 seemed like a bargain price for such a plant, but that she would reluctantly sell it to us as it had clearly been priced as such . We couldn't fit all the plants into our car at once, so my wife paid for our three and it was agreed that I would return immediately to pay for and collect the other, as our friend had an online charity meeting to attend. We were staying at our friend's house only a couple of miles away in Lelant, so after emptying the car I returned in around half an hour, as arranged. As soon as the grey-haired lady saw me, she said that she had some disappointing news, because the plant (which had been removed from the pay point area) was no longer for sale. As she had already agreed to sell it, I asked if she was aware of the Sale of Goods Act, and she haughtily responded by saying that she was entitled to decide to whom she would and would not sell goods to. When I got back to our friend's place I did try to contact Trading Standards to see what my rights were but despite being on hold for half an hour, I could not get through. Irrespective of what Trading Standards may have advised I believe that we were treated appallingly. I generally don't post reviews but this experience really warrants sharing.

Great place to find rare plants, some mature examples not for sale but give you something to aim for :-). Prices are reasonable given the quality... I could spend hours just looking!

Every time we visit cornwall we visit here. And go home with a plant or two or three even lol. Staff are very knowledgeable as to whether it will survive in your particular country zone. Well worth a visit for any gardener.
