Sub-contracted by John Lewis to provide TV warranty. Engineer arrived within scheduled time slot.However was in a rush to leave once it was established that the issue could be resolved by replacing power adapter. Turns out he was in a hurry to leave before I noticed that the replacement adapter was functional but damaged.Called the shop within minutes and have been promised a new replacement - will see if that happens before I raise a complaint

Bought a Samsung TV from Richer Sounds three years ago. The screen developed a fault. Albeit the manufacturer warranty had expired I contacted Richer Sounds to see what could be done. They informed me I was a member of their VIP Club, which meant my TV was covered for repair for six years, and told me to ring Yorkshire Multi Media Services. I have to say I consider the service received from YMMS has been first class. From my initial call to them to outline the fault I was informed of what the issue might be and the options available. Appointments were made with an am/pm appointment time which; on the day were narrowed down to a more specific time frame e.g. between 1pm and 3pm. The first appointment diagnosed the fault - which required the ordering of a new screen. I was kept informed of the order progress. Once it had arrived an appointment was made to come and fit the screen. Once again the appointment time was kept. The engineer was respectful of my property (putting shoe covers over his shoes) replaced the screen and confirmed it worked before leaving. I had no issues whatsoever and have been pleased with the service provided by YMMS.

I had a TV in for repair with YMMSUK and all i can say about the whole is experience is appalling.Firstly i got told a date in which a technician would come round to my house to inspect the TV. This date got pushed on by two days.Once they finally came to inspect the TV, they came to the conclusion that it needed to be taken to the workshop, which is fair enough. After nearly a week i gave them a call as i had heard nothing, only to be told they hadn't even looked at the TV yet. They then said they shall give me a call with an update the following day once they had looked at it. No call was made.Once they had determined the problem they then said they needed to order the parts which would take 2-3 days and once received they would fit the parts and get the TV back to me straight away the same day.4-5 days later i had heard nothing yet again. I rang and got told the parts hadn't arrived yet and once again they told me when they do the shall fit them and deliver the TV the same day.The following day i got a call saying the parts had arrived but they needed another part which had to be ordered and told me the whole when arrived you shall get your TV back the same day.I then get a call from them saying the TV is fixed and i Shall be given a call in 2-3 days in order to arrange when is best for me to have the TV delivered. This was after be specifically told me more than once i would have it back the same day it would be fixed!2 days later i get the call and arrange a time which suits me best to receive the delivery of the TV. I receive the TV The day after.I take it into the living room and plug it in. When the TV is turned on i can hear distortion from the speakers, an echoey sound. Along with that the screen is flickering from black to color and now has a white blur over the screen. The TV is a heck of a lot worse.Now i have never had a service from any company in Yorkshire where they consistently mess you around with deadlines for a lengthy period of time to only go and make your initial problem worse which you put your complete trust in them to fix in the first place!I would not rec commend this disgrace of a multi media service to anybody as i feel i have been taken for a ride massively by everyone who i have dealt with along this horrible process.Shocking service that really does need sorting out!

I cannot believe Yorkshire Multi Media are still being used by large companies like Samsung and John Lewis. They are the worst company I have ever had to deal with!If I could give 0 stars I would.I have a Pioneer amp which developed a known error. After paying £30 to Yorkshire Multi Media (YMM) on the 16th March 2018, the error was confirmed and Pioneer gave the go-ahead to have it fixed.After 4 months and many phone calls YMM said they had carried out the £620 job which involved replacing the amp's motherboard.I got the amp back home only to find that absolutely nothing had been done to it! The error message was still being displayed and even my personal settings were still on it.The amp got returned again soon after and YMM then said the replaced motherboard must have been faulty and they would need to order another one!It is now the 23rd December 2018 and my amp has not been fixed and Pioneer, as a result, have quite rightly dropped YMM as their repair partner.They are also trying to get the amp moved to another repair centre which has been difficult for them because YMM have been ignoring their calls for the past month!Please avoid this joke of a company at all costs!

THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER, My TV was under a John Lewis 5 year warranty and the main panel was faulty, took them forever to get the screen, took my expensive TV away and didn’t wrap it or protect it in any way, after they had made no contact I kept ringing and was lied to on several occasions, the TV was returned with scuff marks on the stand and rear cover and also finger marks within the supposedly new screen, the process of ordering a screen starts again and several weeks later the TV is returned with no sound working, engineer removes the rear cover and the cable to the speakers is missing and also the warranty sticker on the back of the screen looks to have been tampered with, I was assured it had been fully tested….. I then see several dead pixels on the supposedly new screen.After reporting this to John Lewis they agreed to replace the TV altogether for a new one so a happy ending to a bad experience.Can’t understand why any big company would use these people for warranty repairs and risk their reputation!!!!

Called John Lewis on Sunday, call back Monday, booked home visit for Thursday. Engineer arrived 20 minutes after original arrival period but after a call to apologise, polite and we'll presented engineer.Repaired Samsung 32 TV within half hour. Brought a range of possible parts

Honest review for the way these guys work. My Samsung TV wouldn't come out of standby and I was told my TV is under the 2 year goodwill warranty and could be covered by Samsung. After 4 weeks of constant calling and waiting, I was told by the these guys that Samsung could not cover it and I was not told why. They told me to contact Samsung as to find out why, without giving me a case Ref.I called Samsung and they said that the repair centre did not contact Samsung at all.

YMMS were subcontracted to sort out a claim I made on my Richer Sounds warranty.Excellent service received; they were quick to make contact, arrange a convenient time for an engineer to call and even gave me a courtesy call an hour beforehand so I could nip home rather than have to waste half a day of annual leave.
