Wonderful place, we travel 45minute drive just to go here with our greyhounds. When Percy needed more teeth removing they took great care of him, and the nurse explained everything that was going to happen so clearly. I can't recommend enough.

I went here in 2022 with my very sick puppy. I was told to wait outside as they only let people in who wear face masks. I told the vet this was discrimination, and was masking at that time was not mandated in any way. I explained I can't wear one as I have 2 medical conditions that make it difficult for me. I also questioned the vet on their policy as at that point the female vet started ranting at me about how deadly covid is (despite the fact that its a disease that has a 99.98% survival rate, and the peer reviewd studies unanimously agreed masking was political and had zero effect on transmission. Despite this and seeing none of the reception staff nor the owner Patric wearing masks through the wondow. I told her i felt they were being ridiculous and making up their own fear based rules. The vet angrily yelled at me outside shouting 'you'd change your mind if your grandad died of covid) I told her my dad died because he couldn't access the care he needed because of the lockdown. She huffed at me and walked off. I later received a phonecall that very loosely resembled an apology. The practice itself is old and dated, knowledge and professionalim there i feel is highly questionable.. they also added unnecessary mediation to my bill. (According to my new vet)Avoid!

Outstanding care and attention given to our very poorly dog. I cannot praise Mhairi and the nursing team highly enough for the way they have brought our little girl back to the healthy happy dog she was. Mhairi kept me throughly updated throughout the treatment; I have nothing but thanks and praise for this practice's services.

Everyone here is so friendly and they have been so helpful and clear with every issue we’ve had. Very reasonably priced and I always know my dog is in the best hands possible when I bring her here!

Very compassionate when I had to let my German shepherd go, Patrick came out to our home, so I didn't have to stress my dog out anymore than necessary, I was able to hold my dog in her own home.

All about the pets, not the money. Very happy with the way the vets treat my cat, they are friendly, warm and professional. The reception staff are pleasant and friendly. They even go out of their way to ensure you are not spending more than you need to. Fantastic vets. Would definitely recommend for your 4 legged friend.

Our dog was booked in for a routine tooth extraction with one of the young lady vets, who was very pleasant. He was put on medication for a week prior to the procedure. Our breed is sensitive to anaesthetics & also are prone to tracheal issues - our duty was to advise of this. The dental was performed fine with no concerns but on the same day we asked if our dogs claws could be clipped whilst under anaesthetic to avoid him stress. The vet forgot to do this, apparently.Mr Patrick Murphy later apologised for forgetting to cut our dogs claws explaining they were more concerned about the anaesthetic (so was there actually something for us to be concerned about?), but then said the claws didn’t need cutting!?A blood test was also done on the day of the surgery by the young lady vet, but we were told that the result showed up an abnormal reading of his kidneys. With little reasoning or explanation, we were sent away and sold Renal dog food & were told he had stage 2 kidney failure. We were told they would do another blood test in about 3 months and to just manage his symptoms in the meantime. He had no symptoms at all.Of course you ask endless questions when you are told these things, as you are worried about your dog; any diligent and responsible dog owner would do the same. Mr Murphy called us to follow this up & told us to check our dogs blood pressure & do urine samples etc. with regard to the kidney findings. He then suggested we find another vet, as us asking too many questions apparently causes the vets stress !!No thought in what stress all this causes the dog owner thinking their dog is poorly. This was from a man who not 8 weeks prior to this came to our property to euthanise another dog of ours.Mr Murphy conveniently forgot this fact and showed no empathy or compassion towards us. Grief lasts a lot longer than a condolence card and 8 weeks...and our feelings should have been taken into account before Mr Murphy’s curt decision. He is the professional here and should be able to accept all sorts of questions and feedback from clients, good or bad. The dog can’t speak, so you have to do it for them.We know vets are very busy and are in an environment of sensitivity, but it works both ways.It actually proved to be a very good piece of advice from Mr Murphy in asking us to find another vet.We duly did, immediately, and a week later our dog had a blood test whilst there. The new blood test they did was fine ….kidney readings normal, making a mockery of the initial diagnosis done by Northwich Vets. The blood test done at Northwich Vets was done as a point in time test but with no caveats as to factors which would or could sway the results, with all the medication he was on, not to mention a decaying tooth. In hindsight perhaps not the right time to perform a diagnosis forming one-off blood test?If we had stayed at Northwich Vets, under their care & advice, we would still be thinking our dog had kidney failure & he would be (wrongly) eating a renal diet which makes dogs increase their appetite and put on weight, plus making us owners worried sick for 3 months. Our new vet, who owns and has experience with our breed, found our dog to be absolutely fine. The new vets clipped his claws no problem as they badly needed doing. We have never been so relieved to move vets. The reception staff at Northwich vets are second to none, but it’s not them at the end of the day who treat your pets. All in all a lucky escape, one which we wish we’d made sooner with our other dog who is sadly no longer around.Always get a second opinion or challenge your vet if you are in any doubt or worried. Our additional comment to the owners response…we can categorically state that we were NOT advised to get further tests what so ever. Nothing of the sort was ever put forward by either of the two vets who we saw. Their response is simply incorrect wording trying to make themselves look good & compassionate to onlookers. Our experience was dreadful.

I recently had a poorly kitten and Northwich Vets were so helpful. I phoned for advice a few times in the week leading up to when I finally decided my kitten needed to be seen. I was given an appointment the same day on a Saturday. The vet I saw was so lovely and helpful. As was the receptionist who was on that day. We were given some new food and pro biotics and my kitten was fine a day later! I cannot thank them enough. As a first time pet owner I couldn't be happier
